Need something for amazing acoustic guitar sounds - which of these will give that studio rich clean sound? Leaning on the JBL Eon710 - but like the tweeters on the turbosound IP300

Viewer comment: I have both and prefer the Everse 8. I could not get a tone I liked for my jazz guitar, Cordoba Fusion and Martin 00028EC on the Bose. They sound OK but on the Everse they all sound great.

Only listening on phone but sounds like the Everse 8 has a better ‘separation’ of the sound. It’s probably just what you get from having bigger woofers and tweeters but I could definitely tell that it sounded broader/deeper/better mixed on the Everse.. only assuming that translates even more prominently in real life and on bigger speakers etc

Good point, I would easily take a sub with Mackie over Everse 8, but then you are not talking about portable PA anymore. Plus Subs need A/C.

Comment from the Nord Forum: The TT515A’s are a game-changer. I’m genuinely impressed with their sound quality-clear, detailed, and uncompressed. As a pianist, I’ve struggled to find a PA speaker that handles piano transients well, but these do it perfectly. At $2,000 each, they’re an amazing value!

Negatives from real world testing: The LCD screen on the Plus model is almost impossible to see in bright sunlight! In a live gig outdoors, the old school dials of the S1Pro are far superior! Also on the Plus model it will not stay back in the tilt back position on carpet - only on hard floors. S1 Pro doesn't have this issue.

Thanks for your kind words! Just got the Everse 12. Still testing it but so far besides the heavy 31lbs weight and larger size, it sounds incredible. Much more full range sound than the Everse 8. Fuller bass/midrange, louder at 126dB/longer battery run time. Keep saving!

Some other amps will give same or better features for lower price but the quality of the sound it's just not it. This amp has sound quality guaranteed. If anyone is worried on how loud this amp can be, just get the whole combo of the 2 PA Systems and the 2 Subwoofers that connect wireless and that itslef is said to cover a range for more than 150 people. You can even connect 4 musicians wireless simultaneosly, including bass and percussion. I think the fact that all that can be wireless is crazy.

Heyy! Thanks a ton for this video! Really helpful. But among these 3, using AUX input, which do you think has the best low end? I want to use it for DJing (mainly disco/house/techno) outdoors for lets say ~20-30 people. The only real deal breaker is that it needs to be battery powered cos not always you find a power source outdoors.
@WWeiss-nv5vz
@WWeiss-nv5vz 8 күн бұрын
If you want bass in a battery speaker, JBL Eon MK2 has bass approaching a stand alone 10" subwoofer. None of these three will make you happy with that type of music. If anything the new Bose S1 Plus will have more bass than any of these. JBL Partybox 310 has great bass if you don't mind the size/weight. Also EV Everse 12 is a possibility. Just testing it now.

Thanks for the video, excellent work Bill! I currently have two Bose S1s and one Bose Sub 1 and use this setup for playing backing tracks when I do solo gigs. I’m also DJ-ing at a wedding next year and thought I could just add another Bose Sub1 to my setup. There’s going to be about 100 people in a medium sized venue. Good idea or bad?
@WWeiss-nv5vz
@WWeiss-nv5vz 8 күн бұрын
A second Sub1 won't be any louder for 100 people. If you are happy with your volume, a second Sub1 will give bass output of 120 db which is equal to a single Sub2. So yeah if you need more thump, go for it! Stacking the subs or placing subs next to each other will give you max output.

Do U think 2x308 + Bose Sub1 will do some small outdoor event with the synths ? I am looking for some not heavy and expensive solution for small synth gig we do with the friend. The lowend feeling is the most important as dispersion too - what do U think about dispersion jbl vs yamaha and rcf ? Thanx
@WWeiss-nv5vz
@WWeiss-nv5vz 8 күн бұрын
Bad idea! 308's will not handle synth outdoors. Sub1 is great, I would go with QSC CP8 or new EV ZLX-8P-G2. Both $500, EV has a great App/Bluetooth/DSP. QSC has Pro reputation with 6 year warranty vs 3 years for EV. Both great choices! Yamaha DBR10 at $400 is the bargain, like QSC no App/DSP but 7 year warranty! Yamaha has a smoother midrange than QSC or EV but recessed highs in comparison. Personal preference. I've reviewed all of these on my channel.

You don't need stereo for live music! If you are concerned with volume, I would go with QSC CP8 or new EV ZLX-8P-G2. Both $500, EV has a great App/Bluetooth/DSP. EV Everse 8 has the best bass but you have to EQ it properly to get max bass response. If you can handle the weight/size/$$$$ Everse 12 is #1! JBL Eon MK2 is another way to go if you like the column look-no speaker stand.

Distance makes big difference. I used S1 Pro outside, but once you get 100 ft away you lose the volume. I finally had to buy the line array with subwoofer to reach that distance. I also realized then that the S1 didn't do justice to the bass.
