Good to see you doing well marra. I've not been back up to Sweethope since pre COVID and it still looks lush. Hard graft swimming in the colder temps with Asthma compared with the summer. Looking forward to watching the rest of your journey. Good Luck 💪🥶🏊

How do you find 14' sup? We have 12'8 go further and wondering if its good idea to by 14' aor stick to another 12'8 . We would like to take out kids on broad 9 and 7 year old, on 12'8 with both of them its a very slow, but I feel quite stable. Wondering how it would be on 14' as its a bit narrower? Thanks if you could give some advice.

Hey... where abouts are you based as you could just come and try on my lake as I have most the board sizes but also a tandum 16ft, personally the 12'8 is the one you might be best going for then the 14 if its McConks you want to stick with but really you might want to try my RED 16ft tandum as that will take you all no bother

I Love the moment when the son takes his mother by the hands and accompanies her to get deeper into the water, they both smile because they are accomplices.

A few swimming groups mentioning the noise impact breaking the ice with an axe has on fish/wildlife. Can you talk about that?
@fenwickridley3 жыл бұрын
It's a good question, but when the ice is about there is always alot of noise for the little swimmers. But In the winter cold temps alot of fish dive deep anyway which reduces the effect from vibration and sound. The fish enter a type of homeostasis and slow down. I'm on a fishing lake and have not heard from ice fishers that it changes their normal behaviour. Also note that in time the fish can acclimatise to the movements and sounds just like a busy lake with power boats. Mind its Different if it was a small pond in your back garden full of big gold fish and you were cracking it few times a day or even daily as the little guys wouldn't be well. Also the ice holes I have been creating have been getting used by the otters to fish 🐟
