I think the real secret to success would be having a 3rd salt lamp in frame. If two can make someone this good? Im getting a 5th one.

4:14 is a favorite of mine honestly don't know why type of architecture it falls under but i hope to see more of that in real life its like a spiral cascading environment and the building seems to flow very well. I'm realizing that I'm a huge fan of this now that ive seen it and might want to make something in blender or Minecraft with the concept of stairs having to flow like a river and not go in a straight line for to long. I will take the rice padi fields in bali as a reference seems like a fun projects now but not sure what building style structure I would pair it with mostly likely integrated with nature like in the clip. perhaps ill go with the bali villa styles but it doesnt intrigue me much so not sure if i would go with that

Amazing video, it helped me so much, but I have a few questions... If I need to create, let's say a tree or grass, would it be reasonable to add all those wind nodes and math inside of this MM, or would it be better to create a new MM for these? Another question...does a complex MM (if you don't turn on everything when instancing ofc) impact on the performance of the game? In other words, is it better to have a GIGANTIC Master Material, or a few specialized ones?

Oh boy. Why would a 3D artist need Unreal Engine if they aren't making a game? Isn't it possible to do animations with Blender? It seems like this video skipped the part which would explain that material instances are created (spawned is not the right word) from the master materials. You don't need a base material instance that you copy-paste, you just need to right click on the master and then click "create material instance". Material instance isn't going be much lighter than its master, it's a copy of the master material, just with different set of parameters, but it still does all the work. Therefore, if you want to do a real-time applications (games), you should make materials with least complexity needed for each specific model. Only parts that make your material instances less complex than the master are the static switches (level 3) because then the instance will have the complexity based on the route that static switch made, but that's still way more complex than a material with less stuff in it.

Hi, I'm on 5.1 and Unreal will not see the folder. Neither through copy paste nor migrate will work. Maybe best to mention it's only for 5.3, unless I missed something

For organization: Named Reroute nodes help a lot, as it lets you have disconnected structures that are linked through separate nodes. So your common UVs can go into a node named "Common UVs" and then you can add an output of that reroute node everywhere you need it without wires going everywhere.

Is there a node that can be connected for presets? A dropdown that selected between wood, stone, metallic, brushed metal, Glass, etc.? This way the defaults switch and give you even more of a head start?

Hey Clint! Great work on this video, must have been a hell of an editing job...by the way killer thumbnail! I love filmmaking and virtual production in Unreal Engine, it changed everything for me. Keep up the solid work, It's not easy but you're killing it.

When rotating normal map UVs, you also need to rotate your normal map vectors. Example : normal map value of (x=1, y=0) vector is pointing right. If the UVs are rotated 90° CW it should now point down. However the value is still the same (1, 0), it needs to be rotated to be (0,1).
