As a 14 year old girl, this is so true. Im slowly realizing how i cant look into the mirror without feeling disgusted or ugly. Before i started watching a lot of tiktok, etc...I neverrrr cared about the little details that much but not its just the worst. Tbh i realized that in my eyes i will never be what i want to be, but thats okay because nobody is perfect. The real acomplishment is to finally accept and love yourself.

Don't fall for the vpns sponsored on so many channels. They don't tell you that many Internet companies block your ability to access other countries tv and films and your provider can see if you use them and stop them working. Everybody pushes stuff without knowing the details for money.

My family is from fiji and because of that i have many fijian features, so when you explained how tv was introduced and how people stopped wanting to look like their family it made me so disappointed :( our beautiful cultural features come from our family, but now people are disappointed and ashamed of it. also when other poc people who were saying they were ugly (especially those little kids) it just makes me so disappointed

I have a theory. A strong one about TikTok. I have an issue in my App Store on my Phone. I cannot install any apps again, because of a billing issue. And I believe that was a spiritual awakening and a sign I am extremely grateful for. I also have an iMac I just got, I can access into my accounts onto TikTok (which I can't on my Phone) I already have an Instagram addiction myself, (TikTok is way worse than Instagram and you'll see why) Of course on TikTok, I logged into my previous accounts I couldn't on my Phone, and of course had my old TikTok depressive addiction again this week, and I noticed how the day I started scrolling on TikTok again, I had an extreme horomonal imbalance on my period I NEVER get, I have extreme eye strain, headaches, and fatigue and felt the worse I have ever felt in my life again, and it's ALL BECAUSE of TikTok with vivid proof, and there's no backing that up. I never felt that, ONLY when I had TikTok installed on my phone previously. Why? It's all because of the algorithm and the way our brain processes the app, like Simone said we cannot process our brains and dopamine with TikTok, it's too much. Instagram's algorithm is similar but VERY different to that's why I didn't feel that way with my Instagram addiction. TikTok is a outer-bubble of our minds and souls, that make us trapped in an illusion that it's pleasure but it's actually a secret drug that slowly kills us like candy. Like with jobs, they slowly kill you, but you need the money. That's with TikTok, an app and algorithm that slowly kills you, but you need the dopamine. Though it's all an illusion. An unlimited maze, with one exit. Leaving the app.

i’m a black girl and i used to feel so ugly and i wanted to be white so bad. but once i left highschool i started realising how pretty i am and that comparing myself to white girls will do nothing but make me feel bad because without plastic surgery, i will never look like them. comparison is the thief of joy. now, the only thing i’m somewhat insecure about is my weight but i also like it because i love my round face :) black is beautiful, don’t listen to anyone who says otherwise
