Hey, I am about to enter the first competition ever for my Art. My Art has a message also... I pray to God it is heard. Also, I pray to God, that my artist statement and bio helps to create the deeper meaning behind my brush. Your video was a nice pause and reflection of my purpose. Thank you so much.

About 20 years ago, when the US garnison was active, Kitzingen was not so beautiful! but also had a certain charm! through the small American pubs where GI's enjoyed the Kitzinger beer, and every young woman was greeted with hello sunshine (the GI's said Kitzingen is the small Las Vegas on the Main River).

Susan your skills are amazing to watch and learn from. I found these videos through Paul's site. I want to learn this whole drill and have been watching it in slow motion and trying to keep up. Thank you for providing these videos, and helping to preserve the techniques! God bless.

My father was stationed there in 1963 and my mother came along and lived in Kitzingen. Thus I was born in Wurzburg army hospital. I wish someone had pictures of Kitzingen in 1963.

Very nice video. brings back memories. The security fence behind Harvey Barracks is no longer there. We used to hike across the field to go to Beeno's Guesthouse, best Hungarian Goulash ever!

I too was stationed in Kitzingen, but much later in 1983-84 & have many treasured memories, including inside the Frankinsher Hof & Akropolis, both of which are shown here. I also had a lady friend a block from there. I loved Germany & always will!

I was stationed at Harvey Barracks from 4/30/60 until 1/13/63, it seems President JFK wanted our services as long as he could keep them after the Berlin Wall went up and we were all happy with that. It truly was a great time to be part of that beautiful area. I was a specialist 5 assigned to Comany E, 1st Med Tank Battalion 68th Armored Battalion, Armored support to the 3rd Infantry Division. I am mow 74 and still kicking even after a tour in Vietnam in the 11th ACR. FOR God and Country Forever

Boy, that's pretty wild. My father was stationed in Kitzingen from 59-61, we lived there when I was 9-11. My mom was originally from Stuttgart so we all spoke the language...was a great time. Get this, my dad's name was Bob Macdonald. There's a Bob MacDonal in the video on the Fasching float but I don't think it's my father...will have to see if one of my kids can blow the picture up for me so I can see it better. Would be wild if it's him. Thanks for posting.

I spent several years in Kitzingen from Jul 75 to Oct 77. Was with the 3rd ID DDC at Larson Barracks. What a great time. My NCOIC was SFC Underwood, then SFC Saunders and SSG Kirkman. LT Borman what happened to you? My room mate was SPC Tom Stollings. Volksmarches and Fasching and Christmas. I had gate guard Dec 75 for the entire month. Wow that was a wonderful time.
