Can this be performed with the diff still in the car? Especially for the passenger side (where my leak is), it looks like there's enough room, but I don't want to get halfway through and get stuck!

Is the Os Giken as it comes from the factory in terms of ramps , preload springs , etc? 1,5 or 2 ways?

I don't recommend the OS Giken clutch at all.. Head on over to www.cbsracingshop.com/en/ And look for options there's. You can write or call CBS also for information on your specific set up, they will be happy to help you 😁

ah....I wish I had seen this before i reassembled the diff after replacing my LSD clutches. This explains I think why the right side is leaking - I drove the seal to the bottom of the housing - past the oil hole. I pulled the flange back off and it's clear the seal is not riding correctly on the output shaft. Question - my left side shaft is not leaking but the seal is installed past the oil weep hole. Do you have any insight into issues covering the weep hole might cause? I think I'll plan to re-do the left side but it's more inconvenient as the exhaust needs to be pulled.

Hi, I'm happy you find my video helpful. That's why I made it. It's very long time I did it so I'm not 100% sure anymore. But as far as I remember, if you cover up the hole the rings or seal or what you call it won't get any lubrication and they will fail so you shouldn't do that..

Just successfully finished the clutch job on my E46 M3 on jackstands. This was the only video that recommended supporting the engine from above and lowering the subframe. After supporting the engine and using a jack below, I only lowered the subframe 1". Obviously more is better. but for me I didn't even remove the subframe bolts. This gave me sufficient room to easily access the top bell housing bolts. I went with the LUK Complete Clutch Kit and the car shifts so smooth. Thanks!

Did this jon on an E36 and working on an E46 now. On the E36 I supported the engine w that support bar, loosened the 4 bolts on the subframe & lowered the engine ~2 inches. Had great room to access the top bolts.
