I asked my father why he smoked when he was young, and Pop said, "We didn't know smoking was bad for you." In my little noggin, I was thinking, "How could you NOT KNOW inhaling smoke was bad for you?!" 🤔 When we Baby Boomers were kids smoking was a normal part of life; back in the day, it was as common to see someone smoking in a store or hospital as it is to see folks staring down at a cell phone today. (Smoking wasn't banned in American hospitals until 12/31/93)
