"Easy" means different things to different people. Also, some plants just seem to do better in some parts of the world than others, sometimes better in one house than another even with the same care. I think some conditions that affect a plant are just beyond our control.

Stop showing me this moisture meter.. My finger and feeling didn't fail me my whole life. Everytme you show it I start doubting myself. Nope..no moisture meter for me and I'll water me my "dinheiro em penca" *Callisia repens* (I don't know the English name) because i know it's is the right time now. I know the time in seconds. See you later. ❤❤❤❤❤

I bought a peperomia obtusifolia and it arrived with some leaves deformed. This plant was part of "my *10 plants are enough* " list, but it's been a long, long time I don't have it. I did cut some of the wrinkled leaves and I'll let it all adjust. Lack of water can be a reason. Her colour shows it's not light. I hope it gets better for I noticed that some new leaves are deformed. I searched and searched for any pest but didn't find anything to the moment (yes, Mr Sheffield, of course she's is in quarantine) She's beautiful making a good pair with the peperomia scandens (you don't have it, na na ni na, poor you 🤣 you collection is not complete🎼🎶🎵) But you have the lipstick one. I want one but it's expensive now. Plants that are in fashion is something very strange for me. I envie you Sansi lamp. I would have to import and it's expensive. I've been watching your channel for fun. Very good channel. ❤❤

I think there can be misting with a fine mist and misting that leaves large water droplets on the plant. Fine misting will evaporate quickly while the large drops will sit on the leaves and possibly cause the problems mentioned. Also new growth can be damaged with misting according to Lee @ Kill That Plant. I've also read variegation can be damaged by misting. A grower I buy plants from told me not to mist but if I do, to mist the stems. What I've gotten from all of this and what I do is to use a very fine mist, lightly mist every other day and avoid new growth and variagated patches as much as possible. With these plants, I focus mainly on the stems. Turn a fan on for an hour or so after misting so the water doesn't sit on the leaves causing the potential bacterial issues, especially with water pooling in new growth and unfurling leaves, which could cause damage as Lee spoke about. Hope all this helps, it's just a compromise of everything I've seen and read on the subject.

GROSS and HELP I noticed my money tree and my chinese evergreen are dry so I go to bottom water. They were purchased is this weird hard packed peat moss shit. They both sat in water for over an hour and hardly drank any. I bought clear 1 inch high bottom saucers to watch. And what did I see in the evergreen! These little (baby finger nail size)tiny centipede things trying to climb up, and doing it, the outside of the pot. They came out the holes at the bottom of the plant. What the f**k! They are getting transplanted tomorrow into fresh earth and getting a dip bath. Have you ever heard of this? First time touching plants/earth I will be wearing gloves. Peace.

I’ve been using mycorrhizal fungi for years with chili growing in particular. I’ve found it really boosts the root mass extensively which then allows the plants to grow a huge amount quicker because they’re taking in that much more nutrients. Doing tests on equivalent sized plants of the same variety, I’ve seen over 3 times the growth meaning I was at the fruiting stages a good 7 weeks earlier than those that didn’t use the fungi. I tend to grow super-hots so their growth in the early stages in particular is painfully slow. Interestingly enough, I’d run out this year during my potting up stages so one plant didn’t get any. That one variety really suffered with its root growth and then lost a few leaves meaning its progression has been far below that of the others I’ve done. I’ve also used it a lot on azaleas and they’ve really shown great improvement with it, so houseplants should get beneficial results

You mentioned about how how to transfer from water propogation to soil, but i recently moved my monsteran Andansoni from soil to water as it just wasnt doing good in soil. I now however see that it has issues with yellowing and sometimes blackening leaves and only very little growth and also some root rot. What would you reccomend to help get it back on track iust give up and go for a new plant started straight in water or perhaps there is an issue with fertilizer? Bit lost with thisnplant to be honest 😅

when I was in school I wasn’t able to have all of my plants in soil. I was super busy and finally decided to take a jump, seeing what would happen if I grew my monstera in water. She very surprisingly LOVES it. I now have my monstera growing in an aquarium with sand substrate and a bubbler designed for fish (in order to ensure there is plenty of oxygen) I can’t help but chuckle a little when I hear folks say that Monsteras do not like too much water. Folks - if you read this comment please know that it is true that Monstera’s in general do not like a very wet soil. Please do not read my comment and go drown your Monstera if it is in soil - those soil roots will rot and you’ll be rather angry with me 😅 However- If you learn about how to have your monstera thrive with water roots your plant may surprise you and live in an aquarium like mine! Last note - The aquarium is dedicated to my monstera. There are no fish or living creatures in her home ❤
