If you have a credit union, conversion rates are better than I've seen. My credit union offers a flat 1% conversion fee if I use my debit (as a Visa card) or my credit card from them) instead of 4% at the terminal.

I'd like to buy a Pasmo Passport because it's cute haha so that I can keep it as a souvenir. Can I get one at Haneda? On their website I see it's available at Narita only.

They were at Haneda earlier this year, but can't say for certain is they're available now. Check the Pasmo desk at Haneda when you arrive.

The way the attendants were communicating and waiting in anticipation for this 1 passenger to arrive and ensure he had a smooth and dignified exit off the train. Japan is the definition of "above and beyond" when it comes to their service and level of genuine care for others around them

I was in Singapore n they have these ramps built in as ramp on all their buses, drivers or helpful passenger will just flip them out, interestingly, their trains stations have very narrow gaps n wheelchairs just wheel out... More should be like these

My friend is having an extension built for his disabled mother. The council is contributing, including the installation of a Japanese toilet at a cost of just under £5,000.

We visited Hiroshima and Miyajima last month and were glad this was in our itinerary. Hiroshima Peace Park and Memorial Museum were an impactful experience, a reminder that, regardless of our differences, we cannot continue to commit atrocities against one another - lest we plan to destroy all of humanity. 😥

What did they do, they choose to condemn themselves to the void, for all the children they mass murdered. Not a city they destroyed but the lives of tens of thousands of children, for which there can never be forgiveness.

Whatever your position, I pray that the world can learn from this horror, and no people, especially innocent children, deserve such a horrific atrocity!

I just returned from my first trip to japan about 5 days ago. Spent ten days there discovering tokyo, kyoto and gion, ginza to osaka and nara...... i am from italy but have lived in the states for over 30 years and have traveled all over the world. I will say Japan has been eye opening. I will absolutely be going back next year to keep exploring and learning all that i can about this incredible country. I am head over heels for Japan ❤ This video is so great and will be of much help to everyone who visits Japan. Wonderful content, hats off to you!!!!! 🙌🥂

Suica is back at major train stations' JR East Travel Service Centres in Tokyo for those that dare venture to Tokyo from the airports on paper tickets. They've been back since December last year. It's also worth noting JR Pass is almost never worth it anymore for the average traveler.

100% ATM for conversion. If you have a debit card with zero overseas fees you can get the full current conv rate. We use capitol one for all of our debit ATMs in Japan. We got 1=153 in March (our last trip). At the airport it was 1=135. Massive difference.

Hi . I wondering If bus from kawaguchiko to Mishima Station is punctual ? From Mishima I will go by shinkansen to Kyoto , and will have 45 minutes to change from bys to train : it should be enough time ? Thsnk You for replaying Weronika

Trains are almost always on time, but busses can be subject to traffic jams. Unfortunately this can't be predicted with 100% certainty.

Just discovered your KZfaq channel. Been studying Japanese on and off for a few years but your vlog makes me want to visit Japan again. I went last year in October and your vlogs have been pretty nice. I've never seen "countryside" Japan. It seems pretty much like an average town/city than like the western notion of like farmland and stuff which isn't a bad thing. My only experience has been Asakusa Tokyo and DenDen Town Osaka in October

I am planning to visit Hakone and Mt. Fuji in a 2 day visit. Should I stay longer and should I start at Fuji or Hakone
@DiscoveringJapan1
@DiscoveringJapan1 25 күн бұрын
Depends on how must you want to see. When you say visit Mt. Fuji, do you want to go up ON Mt. Fuji, like to the 5th station or just view it? If you're not on a tight schedule, I recommend at least one additional day for these plans. I personally like to take things slow and not feel the pressure of a tight schedule.
