Lol Here's what I call the Columbia Pictures Canadian Conn Smythe curse: In 1993, Patrick Roy won the Conn Smythe for Montreal, & that year the film studio Columbia change their logo & no player on a Canadian team wins it again until this year 2024 when Connor McDavid wins it for Edmonton, & the same year, Columbia changes their logo after 31 years! (I know this connection is weird haha!)

Aged like milk. I guess there’s still time for Hughes to take a number out of retirement, do nothing, and then sue the Canucks organization.

damn, tough series, good to look bad at all the biting, crotch shots, and just slimy shit vancouver did the whole series, fair or not that really seemed to wear the refs and the league out, occasionally insanely skilled, spent the rest of the time diving and bitching. if you let a rat like Marchand hit you that many times just standing there, you're a bitch hahah

Nashville wasnt on the verge of being knocked out or eliminated, they were in the finals. When a team is victorious in the finals the tournament ends for both teams! Nonsensical to say a team gets knocked out, in the finals you say they lost or were defeated instead. Edit- ok i forgive u cuz u put calgary game 6 in the list. That was unreal

This is why you don't get steamrolled in a game 7. Then momentum and confidence will be with the other team. The only teams I can think of that got away with being steamrolled in a game 6 to win a game 7 are the 2003 Devils and the 2017 Ducks

He's skilled enough and helps lead his team on the score sheet enough winning games to have some form of respect. Despite him being quite prickish on the ice to the opponents, he's undeniably a great hockey player.

Turns out you can't buy goodwill in the league, good on everybody for ignoring his headline grabbing attempt to look good, cuz that's all he cares about and it's also the reason that nobody wants him. Plus he didn't donate much. Somebody donating 10 bucks when they only have 100 bucks or so extra for the month is more impressive than donating 1.4 million and still having 15 million (and rising) to fall back on.

One thing I always noticed. I remember that game against colorado mentioned in this video. That goal that Subban gets blamed for was bad luck on Subban’s part. He falls in the offensive zone. What always baffled me, is Pacioretty and Therrien blaming Subban, Even though if you watch the Video it’s Pacioretty who is out of position standing in the middle of no where, covering no one… 4:29… just watch

Ask yourself why would he stand at the boards greeting and high fiving the players as they come off the ice? Why would he be the one to wait until the camera man gets out on the ice and is the last one to give the big triple low five to Price for the camera? Then adk yourself why you would ask yourself why team mates don't like him.

I’m glad your back man. I understand what you guys are saying with the pride jerseys and how they aren’t saying they are gay or anything but that the team supports it, but I don’t think they are saying gays are bad, I know some did but they don’t care if the team says they support but it’s the fact each individual is basically saying they support. It’s like kneeing with BLM in basketball, your made a target if you don’t support it and not everyone has to support it and not everyone has to wear it. If they want pride people to know they’re supported then just keep their pride logos on instagram and make post that they support it but they shouldn’t have the players dress up for something they are uncomfortable in. I don’t care if someone gay or isn’t, as long as they don’t make it their personally, but that’s the thing is the nhl is trying to make it their personality and make their players make it 100% it has to be normal and when they don’t feel comfortable then they say their a bad person when they aren’t. People have their own opinions and it’s not like they are saying they want to kill all gays, they just don’t want to support them on a public platform in front of millions of people which is understandable

I watched the whole game all night. Major hometown fan of Buffalo here. The really bad part of the Sabres supposed loss was that the game was in multiple overtime periods and EVERY little discrepancy was reviewed during that long game EXCEPT that last “goal”. It was so late in the night that they immediately brought out the red carpet and the Stanley Cup to the ice and everyone EVERYONE was like, “What? You’re not going to review THAT play? You’re kidding, right?” Even the tv commentators didn’t understand what was going on. A major rush job. They should have reviewed the play. Now it’s going be forever a “ What if we looked at that again” thing. Gary should have been fired on the spot!!!! (NHL Commissioner)
