Too much repeat negativity for the first 5 min and too much metal means more points for breakage. Keep as much plastic as you can. It absorbs soooo much more.

Right dude 👍. Just run them stock . Plastic parts are cheap . I hardly break anything major so far

I have the same truck. I have factory tires or trenchers. You won’t have a rod end problem if you put the blue rubber bump stops in the shocks. I did it and it makes it that the rod ends ware out. I’m a year in now and none have broke and I am a skate park brasher. Before that mod I broke one every weekend. I also don’t have the limiting straps.

I love this truck ! 3 years and still going strong with minimal repairs or upgrades ! And very easy to work on . Unlike the Big Rock 6s which is an outstanding Truck but quite expensive and IMO not as user friendly as the Big Rock 4x4 BLX 3s . Over all Arrma makes a great truck and it just boils down to having fun with whatever you choose . P.S. I will give you one piece of solid advice with this truck and that is to put a better steering servo on it because these are not crafted well at all . Enjoy !

Which servo would you recommend to put in?

I know people find it useless to upgrade the braces where body latches on to but if u happen to crash it under a vehicle it will save you😂🙏🏽

Get motor heatsink and fans. Use one servo, get rpm bumpers, ditch those fancy rods, bc the will break on you, the 2nd version gray rods are GOOD Aluminum shock mounts will break not bend like plastic! At least you have the best tires.

4274 Truggy motor in the buggy? How has that been for bashing? Overpowered or feel right compared to a 4268 setup if you’ve compared.

My take is that if the truck can take a beating within reason and holds up well with minimal cost to maintain resulting in more time having fun than working on it then I'm all in !! After all , things are going to break on any basher but if you can live without a better looking part that costs less and lasts , it 's the smart thing to do . IMO

My motor mount cracked after 5 minutes and only a couple of curb hops. The motor also shifted. My first impression isn't so good. Was expecting it to handle a bit more than a curb jump. Ordered replacement parts, but, not sure I'll be keeping it..

Oh dang. I've had mine for about 8 months and I've launched it like crazy, crashed into a tree, rolled it, lawn darted it, and only thing I've had to replace is the spur gear and the rear outer differential gear

Thanks for the video Fox, really useful as a new Typhon owner (who has already bent the chassis and shock towers!). Was interested in the plastic "bumpers" you have on the front shock tower which stops the M2C metal from getting wrecked. Guessing they're something you made, rather than bought?

yes driveshafts… Once they bend their no good… I'm so disappointed in people in general on eBay because there are so many driveshafts from China and they're making them out of dirt garbage steel there all useless junk and they're trying to take our money bring it into their country. It's hard to get parts when you have so many lying dogs… And it doesn't help when Traxxas makes their parts so expensive it's just stupid to give them money practically worse than giving it away to China. Good luck with your new driveshafts
