Greetings! Yes I think dressing gowns are rare these days, so is wearing dresses, heels and other things. Its certainly rare to see anyone wear vintage attire out shopping, to church, at work etc. Everything today is simply casual or work casual. Which, I certainly wear my share of jeans and tshirts, but for special occasions and at home I enjoy wearing nicer more elegant things.

I adore Norma Jeane :) She was always my inspiration, she had such grace and beauty even before her makeover. The 40's and 50's are my favorite eras for fashion and music and all that.

@@LadyMandyFlora I imagine you like her more than Marilyn Monroe because you have the image most similar to Norma Jean :) the image she had in the 40s and her way of being was the true woman that few knew, her transformation into Marilyn took her to the top. I like to see you Mandy with the aesthetics of the 50s and 40s, it makes you a special, different woman, I admire you for that, it's also like living in the past because you really look like a woman from that time, it's like traveling in a time machine. I also imagine that you if could travel through time then you would end in the 50s that one to stay there :)

Norma Jeane was adorable and so unique. She definitely influenced my style along the way. I love old-time eras and styles. I'd love to visit a variety of times, living there maybe not so much as the 50's turned into the 60's and 70's of which I'm not a huge fan of those era's lol. So today I can enjoy the modern conveniences while borrowing from the past for styles. Thank you for the compliments, that's very kind!

@@LadyMandyFlora You're welcome Mandy! :) Norma Jean was the least known as she was overshadowed by Marilyn Monroe. They should make a movie just about Norma Jean, telling her childhood until 1947. I thought that since you like the aesthetics of the 40s and 50s so much, you would be a very happy woman if you could have lived in those decades, and you would probably end up meeting Norma Jean in person if you were from that time. :) Who could travel through time and be able to intervene, change things in the past, save Marilyn from her death and other actresses who died tragically like Sharon Tate.

Yes. Norma Jeane/Marilyn was very much a woman of her era, she was just old enough to get a job in 1944, then, her big break happened there, a professional photographer was sent there by Ronald Reagan to get some photos of pretty lady workers there to inspire the troops, auburn haired beauty Norma Jeane was definitely "pretty". He encouraged her to consider being a professional model, she left Radioplane behind.

Thanks so much! I've always admired the glitz and glamour of that era, but also the regular styles too, everyone was so well dressed and the movies were so amazing too! The costumes and sets etc. I grew up loving Marilyn but also Lucille Ball as my mother is a huge fan. I'm very familiar with the Van Nuys area, I get to explore her old stomping grounds very often. I went to Catalina Island for the sole purpose of seeing her home with Jimmy while they lived there. Norma Jeane was a beauty, Marilyn was a Star, both sides of her were amazing:)

I have a variety of heels, these ones are more comfy and stylish, and matched the outfit more as it wasn't formal. Stiletto's are great for more special occasions or formal wear :)

@@LadyMandyFlora You're welcome Mandy, the first thing I want to tell you is that I had problems with my PC and in the end it broke down completely and I had to buy a new one, that's why I couldn't contact you before. Regarding what you say about Taylor Swift, yes! She has good songs, I have bee a fan of since 2008 and I have all her music :) She is gorgeous in the Romeo and Juliet video and her song is great. I like the songs she made on the 1989 album the most, her best album to date. In general I like almost all of her songs. Mandy, forgive me for taking so long to respond, I'm still annoyed by the broken PC, it's just that I had a lot of personal photographs and music on it, I it they are still trying to recover all the information that I don't want to lose. No worries at all! Things happen or people get super busy. No apology needed:) So sorry your computer broke, I hope you can recover your photos and music! Mine crashed once and I lost sooo many photos and videos years ago and was devasted. Yes she had some great albums early on and still comes out with great music. She has adapted to all kinds of genres now and that's quite an accomplishment for her. Romeo and Juliet will always be my favorite though. All the best!

Regarding my broken computer, I'm still waiting for the technician to call me on the phone and give me good news that they were able to save all my music and images. As you say, one ends up devastated, you know what it feels like to lose so many personal things, you understand what I mean, friend Mandy. :) About Taylor Swift, that's how you say, I started to be a fan of her, you can say with songs like Romeo and Juliet that it's from her second album. I bought the first album, I think I remember, after she published the work Reputacion. Thank you Mandy and I wish the same for you. :)

J'utilise très souvent les deux. Les sachets de thé fonctionnent tout aussi bien à mon avis. Plus facile à nettoyer après aussi. De plus, si je ne prépare qu'une seule tasse, un sachet de thé est idéal. Quoi qu'il en soit, le thé est du thé et tout est délicieux. I use both very often. Tea bags work just as well in my opinion. Easier to clean up after too. Also if I'm only making one cup, a tea bag is ideal. Either way tea is tea and its all delicious. :)
