@drooyrich1279 Thank you for sharing your experience with red light therapy. While some studies do suggest potential benefits, I'm not entirely convinced about certain health claims. The research in some areas, such as fat burning and testosterone enhancement, is still limited and sometimes questionable. Many studies do not clearly detail their methodologies, which makes it difficult to fully trust the outcomes. It's essential to approach these claims with caution and to rely on well-documented research before drawing conclusions. But I'm glad to hear it's been helpful for you!

Hi Hakan_srf! If I had tried the shaving part of the Braun and it was as good as Philips, I would have chosen Braun without hesitation. I also believe it depends on what you're looking for. As it stands, I only use my Braun devices, the Braun Series 9 and BT5200, and occasionally shave with a traditional razor. Like I said, it's hard to give a straight answer about which one is the best when it really comes down to your personal needs and preferences. Personally, I appreciate Braun's sleek design, well-thought-out accessories, and technology. But if you want all the possible attachments, Philips might offer more value. I hope this helps! Feel free to reach out if you have any more questions.

Hi. I do have the One Blade pro. I just noticed how expesive the blades are. Also, I noticed that after just 3 months they dont shave well anymore. Thats why Im going to buy the 9000! I like that the 9000 has also many guards included so not only i can go for a shorter beard but also longer more than 10mm. Thank you for your video!

Hi! Thank you so much for your feedback and for sharing your experience with the OneBlade Pro. I understand how frustrating it can be with the expensive blades that don’t last as long as you’d like. It sounds like the Series 9000 will be a great fit for you, especially with all the different guards for adjusting your beard length. As a side note, Braun has a model called the BT5200, which is somewhat similar to the OneBlade. The blades last around 6 months and cost between $17-$20, and the trimmer itself is around $40. The downside, however, is that it doesn’t have an adjustable dial for the length; instead, you have to switch out fixed guards up to 5mm. Just a tip if you’re looking for a smaller model! I’m glad the video was helpful, and I hope you’ll be happy with your new trimmer! /Philip

There's not only a single response to a vitamin. Hence focusing on a few markers in a cell culture may not be clinically meaningful at all. It is a step for further research at best. Only clinical results with normal human cancers can give data on the actual effect.
@Philip.315
@Philip.315 11 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment! I agree that it’s important not to draw too drastic conclusions from individual studies, especially when it comes to cell culture research, which may not fully reflect what happens in the human body. It’s true that we need more robust clinical data to understand the actual effects of vitamins like vitamin C. At the same time, I’ve noticed that some researchers and doctors are starting to shift their tone regarding certain vitamins, including vitamin C. There seems to be growing interest in exploring their potential more thoroughly, and some recent findings suggest we might only be scratching the surface. And if you think about it, why wouldn’t cancer cells be able to benefit from vitamins just like other cells? The article really made me pause and reflect on this. It’s an exciting time for further research, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the scientific discussion evolves. Thanks again for your input-it’s always valuable to hear different perspectives on such important topics. Best regards/Philip

Hi! I watched all your videos/shorts regarding shavers/trimmers/groomers as you are the only decent person actually testing and comparing everything out. I'd like to buy a gift for my bf and I cannot still decide what to get for him. I am torn between the Philips Body Groomer and the Braun 9 based on his needs. So I think his preference will be something he can use for/as: - Clean cut/close shave on his face - Armpit/Groin area shaving Which trimmer/groomer can fulfill both of these?

Thank you so much for watching my videos and for the kind words! 😊 I’m glad you found the comparisons helpful. Based on what you've described, both the Philips Body Groomer and the Braun 9 are great options, but I believe the Philips might be better meet your boyfriend’s needs, simply because it offers more accessories. The Braun 9 does have a shaving attachment available in some regions (which unfortunately I didn’t receive), but I’m confident it’s at least as good as the Philips option. Personally, I prefer the Braun, especially for its fade guard, which works quite well around the ears and neck. I also appreciate the ergonomic grip and small details like the low battery warning. However, considering the specific needs you've mentioned, I think Philips is likely the better choice. I’m not sure if they’ve renamed the model to Multigroomer or Philips All-in-One, but I know they’ve added an auto-sense function, similar to what Braun offers, which adjusts power based on the thickness of the hair. This could be particularly useful for maintaining consistent performance across different areas of the body. I hope my answer helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out. Good luck with your decision!"

That said, you could also consider getting both options, or the Braun BT5000, because it's both cheaper and just as good, or even better than the OneBlade for certain tasks. When it comes to these smaller models, I find myself using them when I’m in a hurry and need a quick shave. Hi Omar, I believe they are trying to include it in all categories, but from what I can see, they are calling it the "Philips all in one," which might be an update, or "Philips multigroomer." It feels like they've changed some accessories and may have added auto-sense to certain models. Here in Sweden, stores rename the model numbers with a letter or number so that they can't be price-compared since some stores have a price guarantee.

@@mehmetcan3079 It wasn't easy to discern the differences, but here's what I've found from Philips' Swedish site, which might be different from information in other countries, at least when it comes to the "Braun" brand. The main differences lie in the accessories; all models have the same battery life and feature Beard Sense technology that detects beard density and adjusts the speed to provide optimal trimming. Otherwise, it's the accessories that set them apart. The 7940 and 7950 models includes a superior cutting blade, which I believe is wider and better for precise edging. They also come with more attachments for body grooming. Other than that, I couldn't identify any further differences. As mentioned, double-check this information yourself as it may vary between countries. Speaking of Philips' website, I highly recommend checking for sales. I snagged a great deal there with a 40% discount, definitely worth a look. Good luck! Best regards, Philip

Hello, thank you for the question. I find that Braun is better for this purpose, and if you choose the right model, you can save money. However, I can't speak for the Braun 3000 models. The only negative aspect of the Braun model is that it has fewer guards, and switching between them isn't as "sexy" as it is with the OneBlade Pro and its "wheel distance" feature, but it works and isn't a major problem to switch between them. Hi @l-bird, Thank you for your comment. I understand your frustration about the lack of information on side effects from many influencers. It's really important to be aware of both the benefits and risks of supplements. I get quite provoked when I hear stories like this where influencers don't take responsibility and inform their followers about potential risks. I was actually hesitant to post this video precisely because of the risks. But I believe I've taken all the safety measures I can. I addressed the risks and recommendations for using Ashwagandha safely, and I've cycled its use with breaks. The actual time I've taken the supplement is closer to 120 days because I've taken regular breaks. Additionally, I haven't taken any other supplements during this period to rule out other factors and to more easily detect any side effects. I'm sorry to hear about your negative blood test results and that you've been advised to stop all supplements for a while. It's always best to follow a doctor's recommendations when it comes to health. I also want to urge all my viewers that if you're in any risk groups or are unsure, talk to a doctor before starting any new supplements. @@Philip.315 Your video convinced me to go and buy one during a recent sale. It's an excellent product and your review is correct in every aspect. It is a high quality, well designed trimmer with great engineering and ergonomics. I really appreciate not needing to change guards. The blades are very sharp and accurate. The battery seems to last forever and with its small size in its custom travel case it's great to take on trips. I agree the flexing or slipping of the guard just isn't an issue. The only feature that I wish it had is USB charging. I've tried several high quality beard trimmers and this one is easily my favourite! Thanks Philip!

10:50 tip: when trimming with guards you need to trim against the grain for it to cut the most accurate. Your beard hair doesn’t grow side to side like the way you’re holding the trimmer.

Hi and thanks for the tip. I had to watch the video because I suspected that I was using the fade guard then, and I was. Exactly what you mentioned, I actually mentioned in the recording. But I removed it and other things as well because the video becomes too long or difficult to explain in English. It may sound strange, but certain things, especially beard/trimming, are hard to express if you don't know all the terms. But if I go back to the fade guard, it's not perfect because, as you mentioned, the hair grows straight down. That's why I say 'Almost good.' It's much better around the ears and neck with it. Lastly, I want to mention that generally, I have to use some odd techniques/angles because I want you viewers to get the best view possible, but it's at the expense of not really seeing what I'm doing in the mirror or that the camera is in the way, so I can't see myself completely. So, one gets a bit limited. Thanks for your tips; I'll take them with me and try to improve in the next video (I'm still learning). Have a great day!

He used it for the fade trimming correctly; that's how you are supposed to use the fade guard. By going against the grain, he will fade his hair in horizontally. For all other cases you are correct to trim against the grain, though.

After a long period of research I found a defect in this device. If there is strong pressure on the attachment head, the distance between the attachment and the blade decreases. This means that the trimming dimensions are no longer adhered to. There is also a video about it

I believe I mention it in the video that I have seen other KZfaqrs talking about this exact issue. But so far, mine is holding up. I don't use a very high pressure, just a moderate one. I have tried pressing it by hand with the lock button on, but even then it doesn't move. I think you have to use excessive force or use it in an unsustainable way for it to move. You’re most likely talking about that channel “Beardtube”. He says what you said about applying pressure to the trimmer head when trimming. But that only happens if you apply a lot of pressure when trimming, which you don’t have to do and probably aren’t supposed to apply that kind of pressure anyways. Honestly that guy was most likely just promoting the Brio beardscape trimmer in that video, so he had to come up with a bunch of nonsense to criticize the other trimmers.

Tough question, maybe the OneBlade. But if you find a good deal on the 5000 model so that there isn't much of a price difference, I think the 5000 model is more worth it considering what you get for the money. However, if you prioritize simplicity, then the OneBlade might be a better choice. I am currently editing a video about the Braun Series X vs. OneBlade Pro, spoiler alert, I prefer the X model (Xt5200) for two simple reasons: the price range (cheaper) and better edge trimming. But as I said, this is based on what I think works for me, which might be different for someone else. Good luck with your purchase! Feel free to reach out if you have more questions. I don't see anything unique about that 9000 model other than that you get a OneBlade included, and it has a better level distance, its look like a wheel like onebladepro, while the 5000 model has a basic soluttion with a lever. Regarding the Braun Series 9, I would be careful about trimming the body without the guard; I don't think it's really designed for that, especially not for the 'private' areas. Oh, you mentioned lemon; could you elaborate on that? What are the metaphors? A 'Monday example' refers to someone who is tired on Monday morning after the weekend. But I don't get the lemon part? Good luck with your purchase. Best regards, Philip

Thanks for the review! Coming from the old Norelco 4014 (11yrs of use and still going) I was excited to try something new, thanks to your video I went with Braun. Sadly, I found the Broun 9 experience to be of a $40 trimmer with an additional $80 worth of mediocre attachments. Standard blade with a retractable and lockable guard and small precision trimmer are good. The rest of them are a waste. T-line blade offered nothing sharper of a line than the regular blade, nose trimmer is a joke and gets warm, body trimming blade also got too hot after 2-3 minutes of use that I would not recommend getting it close to sensitive areas - groin, armpits or sides. Their "shot glass" design of blade heads? pull in so much hair that cleaning the tight areas of the heads is annoying. I wish they just sold the main unit as a trimmer and without the rest of the gimmicky stuff. Given the current $120 cost and what functionality you actually get, this is a return for me.

Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry to hear that you had such a bad experience. I bought mine on a promotion for $60. As I mentioned, I made a mistake and didn't double-check the accessories; I thought you got more with a 'Pro' model. Regarding the heat and cleaning issues, I haven't experienced any problems. As for using it on 'body parts,' I would only use it on chest hair or maybe underarms, with a few millimeters of distance and not close to the skin. The primary use is beard trimming. Perhaps you would have appreciated the Philips 7000 model? It comes with more accessories for a lower price. I hope you find a suitable model, and I will take your feedback into account for future videos. Good luck finding a new trimmer; it's tough to find something new after having a reliable one for so long.

@@Philip.315 Hi Philip, thanks for catching my comment and replying, super niece of you to follow up. I wanted to test it for body since they do market the body blade, and chest is exactly what I tested. I agree, body blade for close trim is not good, I would recommend only using it with a guard which beats the point of having a dedicated 3rd blade. At $60 price tag this would be a great deal for a nice beard trimmer, you lucked out :) I'll try the Norelco 7000 next, but I also don't care for all those attachments. After comparing the two, I ended up keeping the Norelco 7000. Blade seemed sharper/tighter than Braun 'Pro' blade and the head changing mechanism a little more solid or perhaps more familiar to me. Not a fan of sizing limitations and why Norelco could not keep the single adjustable guard concept, but I don't keep anything longer 5-7mm range anyhow so most of those guards will sit unused. Combs on guards on Norelco were more skin friendly. Great body trimmer too, package is priced right. Seems like a blend of the two products would be ideal if either company could care about the feedback :) Thanks again for your reviews!

Hi i just lost mine (mine is 19in 1)foil attachment spring and i want to shave like 6 days in week (maybe 7) if i use body attachment on my face it can be shave clean? Or wich attachment do you reccomend for clean shave
@Philip.315
@Philip.315 3 ай бұрын
Hi @mustiboy6506 ! That was a difficult question to answer. There was a person who commented that according to the manual's recommendation, you shouldn't use the body groomer part on the face, which I haven't personally verified. I don't think the result would be satisfactory, and I become a bit uncertain about whether it's wise to use it almost every day. I myself tend to get irritated skin if I do it every day. In that case, it might be better to invest in a proper shaver. You'll simply have to try it out and see if it works. Otherwise, Philips usually offers spare parts, so it might be worth checking out their website or contacting customer support; I think i found the right part and it cost around 18 dollar (www.philips.se/c-p/CP1563_01/multigroom-series-7000-rakhuvud-med-skaerblad). Double-check with the shaver you have, because it's a jungle when it comes to all the series numbers and model years, etc. Unfortunately, I can't access the American Philips website because my computer insists on logging into the Swedish site. As I said, double-check it. I hope I managed to provide some guidance, but it's difficult to answer since we're all different and therefore get different results. Good luck! I'm looking for something that can trim my beard (shorter beard), as well as give me a short trim on body and sensitive areas as well (1-2mm). What do you think would be the best choice to choose from the three models? Thank you so much ! :)

@Philip.315 3 ай бұрын
Hello Richard! Thank you for the question. It entirely depends on what you value most. Is it price, accessories, quality, or innovative solutions? The Braun 5 lacks the locking button and has poorer battery life compared to the Series 9, and there's also a difference in the accessories. I've heard from others that you should get the same accessories between the 9 and the other models, and it's only the Series 9 where you get "pro" blades that provide a better edge cut. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to get any parts that the 5 model has, like the mini foil. I'm not sure if they don't offer that combination/package here in Sweden while Braun does it in other places? The Philips 7000 is a good value for money but may provide a slightly less pleasant experience when it comes to changing parts or ergonomic design. However, you get a good result, and there are plenty of options available. Currently, I mostly use the Braun Series 9 in combination with the Philips OneBlade Pro when I don't have time to shave properly before work. Braun has some things that are so simple yet so effective that the experience, in my opinion, is a bit more enjoyable than with the Philips 7000. I like the fade guards; they provide more than a satisfactory result. I've started to notice the Autosense feature now that I've been using it for a while; it's very unique to have a trimmer that adapts to your needs. Lastly, I find the design pleasant to use. So, my question to you is: what is important to you? Feel free to reach out if you have any further questions. /Philip

@@Philip.315 Hi Philip! Thank you for the speedy response! :) I would say price isn't an issue as long as it is a razor of good quality and which will last me for a couple years. Ideally I'd like to get a razor that will be good for trimming my short beard and also good for body shaving as well (especially near sensitive areas). Would you say that the Braun Series 9 is good for body shaving as well? Can I get a relatively close body shave of 1-2mm? Do you think it will cause any nicking in the sensitive areas with their guard? Or do you think the Philips would be the way to go (or perhaps another razor if you have any suggestions that can do both well)? Thank you so much again! I really appreciate it! :)

@@diante.richard In that case, I would go for the Philips 7000 model, especially if you intend to use it on sensitive areas and you have more accessories that increase the likelihood of meeting your "needs." As I mention in the video, I don't find the model to be a particularly pleasant experience in terms of ergonomics or how to switch between the parts. However, I believe that the Braun 9 might not be exactly what you're looking for. As for the Braun 5, I can't comment since I haven't tested it. Finally, I'd like to add that the lifespan of these devices usually doesn't exceed more than 2-3 years in my own experience. Also, I believe it depends on how careful one is and how well they maintain the trimmer. There's a lot of buildup around the drive shafts, among other areas, which can significantly increase resistance and make it harder for the motor to last in the long run. And this is something I'm not good at maintaining. I hope you found some guidance and didn't become more confused. Good luck, and feel free to reach out if you have more questions. Hi @johnaspinall4096 ! That's a really good question. Personally, I don't use protective eyewear, but I've been considering getting tanning goggles instead of using the ones that usually come with the devices. I find that the protective glasses that come with red light devices tend to block the eye areas. That's one of the main reasons why I haven't been using them. But there are studies suggesting that it may not be entirely necessary to treat the exact "problem" area to see effects. When it comes to choosing a wavelength, it doesn't make a huge difference; there are good studies ranging from 590nm up to 660nm. I'll include a link to a smaller study specifically on these wavelengths for you. I want to emphasize that you shouldn't use NIR wavelengths (700-1060nm) on the face; only on the upper part of the forehead and the top of the head if you want to stimulate the brain.
