Archbishop Steven Stillingtom married Edward to Eliz Butler .The rich ward of Talbot family .He refused to marry Edward to Woodville .In the abbey the Bishop of Westminster was paid well to marry them .Stillington had papers to prove his claim. Edward was a bigamist and Richard had no need to murder his own nephews .Archbishop Morton gave the game way and Lord Stanley and Margaret Beaufort did the deed Morton gave the boys last rights and they were smothered .The way was paved for her own son to rise to throne. Anne died naturally and Richard cried buckets over her loss

How is Arabella a "lost queen?" Mary, Queen of Scots had a legitimate heir, and he was the most appropriate heir to the English throne after Elizabeth's death. I'm no fan of James, but Arabella had no claim to any throne that superceded his.
@stevenleppard10722 күн бұрын
Arabella Stuart did indeed have a very tragic life her destiny dictated by others. But she was not the rightful heir to the English throne. James VI/I was the rightful heir as his mother, Mary Queen of Scots claim, was superior to Elizabeth, who was, in fact, illegitimate James claim was superior. Equally, Arabella was in face a second cousin of Mary Queen of Scots and not her niece',ehich was only by marriage. Queen Mary had not written sny letter's conspiring agaibst Elizabeth the so called evidence was fabricated abd putbin by Phellepes under instructions ftom Walsingham, cecil and with Elizabeth's knowledge. There is no evidence that Queen Mary left the English claim to Phillip of Spain .

Finally some truth about dubarry, jeanne was kind, had the face of an angel and made an ageing king happy in his last days. Did not like the french movie dubarry, so many historical errors which made me disgusted with the actress who played her.I am from France this is my country's history, although I have France and Canadian citizenship. Called stupid as a basket by a british biographer, disgusted me. Thank you for giving Dubarry some perspective to those who watch this video. Johnny Depp performance and his speaking French was well deserved in the film, however I am very disappointed in how Jeanne was portrayed in the movie. It was a absolutely historically incorrect when it came to Dubarry. 27:14

I wonder if Anne Bonney was descended of Grania O'Malley, the 16th C. Irish Woman Pirate?
@laurelnotley95415 күн бұрын
Yes, it was a real romance. I can't imagine the kingdom's wealthiest man staying with his baby mama for that long, then going back after the coast was clear and a supposed two year break, then marrying her after the royal wretch, the second wife, finally was pushing up daisies. Plus, all his children liked each other and they were all raised together by Katheryn. He remembered his love match with Blanche, and wanted another one, when he finally had the chance again in his old age. Of course I'm going to hope for that. I'm one of their descendants, along with several other million of us.

Benjamin Franklin: "... *the Number of purely white People in the World is proportionably very small.* All Africa is black or tawny. Asia chiefly tawny. America (exclusive of the new Comers) wholly so. And in Europe, the Spaniards, Italians, French, Russians and Swedes, are generally of what we call *a swarthy Complexion;* as are *the Germans also, the Saxons only excepted, who with the English, make the principal Body of White People on the Face of the Earth.* I could wish their Numbers were increased* ...why should we in the Sight of Superior Beings, darken its People? why increase the Sons of Africa, by Planting them in America, where we have so fair an Opportunity, *by excluding all Blacks and Tawneys, of increasing the lovely White and Red?"*
@veronicajade205 күн бұрын
Africans were the first people on Earth and _were the first indigenous people to every continent, including Europe._ There's every reason to believe Phillipa was black. The first ancient Europeans were black people called the Grimaldi (aka Gravettian.) What happened to black Europeans? First, the invasion of the Dorians (white Central Asians) in the ancient Hellas (aka ancient Greece) which caused many black Pelasgians to leave the area. Then the Germanic invasions from the 300's to the 500's brought white Central Asians into western Europe. There were _racial tensions_ between black people & whites in Europe and there were hundreds of European wars over hundreds of years, many of them _racial-religious wars_ between Catholicism (the older, mostly black led religion in Europe) and Protestantism (white led religion.) Because of these wars, many black Europeans were either unalived or expelled from the European continent into the Atlantic colonies as indentured servants and slaves.

Very interesting history about Queen Ann . I didn't know much about her until I watched the film" The favourite". Many years ago a tourist guide in London told me a sentence about her " like a proverb " that was quite funny but unfortunately I don't remember it. Do you know it? Thanks in advance.
