I've been watching some of the Waltons shows, recently where all the kids are getting married and having family. This show brings me so many memories with my familys themselves. I love the wholesomeness of the show ❤ It's ao weird seeing you interview your own mom 😂 because you're a Walton. Haha, such a sweet interview

I vividly remember every Thursday night on CBS @ 7 pm tuning in to watch my favorite family I honestly think I liked the Waltons family better than my own. But don’t tell my family that. 😳

Fun to get your narration. Were there any actors who scared or intimidated you. Not because they did anything wrong. Just because you were a small child.

2:28 So does Holly/Erica. Am I imagining things, or was this not the case on the way IN to town?

I wasn't a watcher of this when I was a kid, although The Waltons was really well-known in the UK. (Every single person for three generations would recognise the phrase, "G'night John Boy!") However, in my early forties I decided to effectively abandon the twenty-first century forever and haul ass back to the seventies, with a bit of eighties thrown in. A few nights ago, I decided to start watching The Waltons, bought the first series through KZfaq and it's sunk a fishing hook into me, hard! This episode played my heart strings like an orchestra, especially the scene where John Boy makes the breakthrough with Holly regarding signs meaning concepts and words etc.

Hi Kami...we used sandbags placed in front on the dirt ....sometimes the truck would go helfway up them and then back down maybe that was 'jerking' ..I do recall the challenge of hitting those marks....I think David probably was our best driver!

I remember the sandbags.. I thought of them as "marks" for the vehicles. They also used to keep running after they were cut off. I had someone post a technical explanation about it once. Don't recall their explanation, but they confirmed that the old vehicles could jump forward a bit after being turned off.

So refreshing! My husband is a huge Waltons fan. Every second chance he gets he is watching the show! We all along for a time that was simpler especially as the years go by and time just seems to go faster. It’s lovely to see all of you.

I just discovered your channel. You're doing a great job! I like these kind of analysis of how shoes were created, sometimes enjoy them more than watching the actual show. Very educational. The first one I saw was about how "the graduate" was created. Alternate channel on a pioneer laser disc. Narrated by a UCLA film school professor. Thanks for the interesting channel!
