I too have the Govee...works great. I like to know Temp outside also. I've found with the pads, you have to let more air out than you'd think. Found out the hard way after several nights not sleeping and discovered why...too inflated. I have that luxury pillow too plus another air one to have my arm over and takes up no room packed. I have a few Luci Lights..solar..collapsable which i LOVE and take everywhere with me all the time. I sleep also with a merino wool cap on my head. Great video.

Truth be told, T6 is probably leaps and bounds better than any of the Bike brands out there!…better than BMW oil or Honda, or Polaris, or Bombardier or Yamaha or any of them!..it’s designed for incredible pressure and heat!…my 2000 Suzuki 500 Kingquad has had Esso XD3 and later Mobil 1 Delvac 1300 both 15w40 since it’s third oil change and the engine ran cooler and a has been running strong for the past 24 years!..diesel oil with the JASO designation is far superior to motorcycle gas engine oil!!..I have a few friends who have Polaris products and they all blew up their engines using Polaris oil…they switched to Rotella T6 and never have engine problems anymore!…you can use any diesel oil as long as it has the JASO designation!!…I have had good luck with it for over 20 years!…edit…as a side note I would change the oil every year regardless of mileage…apparently these synthetic oils have a tendency to go acidic over time which can harm your engine…

Was installing today on my bag, and sw-motech website was blocking me with "access denied", so couldn't download instructions (they include only 2d barcode, not printed ones). So, this was very useful. Though, I went with day pack, I wanted to start with a smaller one, and the key possible to take out only if I push the bag with other hand to bend it tiny but (or if I mount the end of bag to the front side). It lacks like 3-5mm of clearance. So, I'm ordering a "Heightening for PRO tank ring". There are options of 6mm, 12mm, and 18mm. I think with 6 or 12mm I will be able to take out key easily. Thanks for your videos! Will be also rewatching the barkbusters fitting, as I have mines to fit.

Tried this radial patch and they peel off from the inside, the tire gets to over 100°F and that patch doesn't work, the string type plugs work best as the string is made of hair fibers that blend into the tire as you ride. That plug is not made of fibers its just a piece of rubber.😢
@GrumpyGoat
@GrumpyGoat 11 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. For me patches will always be better than plugs, since it is working with the air pressure inside the tire to resist leakage, as opposed to resisting the air pressure trying to blow the repair out. That said, I have also had excellent results using the string-type plugs, and for the reason you noted. Not sure why your patch peeled, but with non-heat type vulcanizing, it all comes down to good prep using good glue, and sealing the edges of the patch.

But still i cant access very well to the keys. I can turn it on or off with the bag installed but its very painful to put in or out the key with bag. Contemplating if i should buy Rally Pro vs GT Pro 2024. I think i will ride more on paved roads and 300-400km highways. would it be a terrible in terms of riding experience if i go with Rally Pro? liking the spoke wheels and the height.
@GrumpyGoat
@GrumpyGoat 12 күн бұрын
When I was thinking of purchasing the Tiger 900 I was also of the same mindset. I am a commuter & long distance rider, with aspirations of going off-road occasionally to get to a remote location for motocamping or to get the best views. So I was also thinking that the GT Pro would be better than the Rally Pro. Like you I liked the spoked wheels but at 5'-8" I was mostly concerned about reaching the ground. See this initial test ride on a Tiger 900 Rally which helped seal the decision: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gbWKa8WKqOCapaM.html To answer your question: The Rally Pro would be just as comfortable on the highway as the GT Pro, since the only difference is in the suspension. When cruising that makes no difference in the riding experience. If you like to ride the twisties a lot and will not be riding on highways for long distances then maybe the GT Pro is better. Also if you ride with full load or a pillion to a significant degree, then the GT Pro is better since it has automatic rear pre-load adjustment. I am very pleased with the Rally Pro as a long-distance highway bike even fully loaded, and with the long-travel suspension it handles bumpy stretches (e.g. construction zones) like riding on a magic carpet. I have other videos that would probably answer your question better than this comment.

Another good video thanks. Looking for a bike for two-up riding in hot climates (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Cambodia, etc). Like the idea of the Rally Pro with better suspension for some of the less than perfect roads in this part of the world. A little concerned about all the heat coming onto the legs as I'll routinely be riding in temps between 85-105F. How bad would you anticipate the heat to be in this kind of climate?
@GrumpyGoat
@GrumpyGoat 16 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment. The Rally Pro handles poor roads with ease that’s for sure. The heat from the radiator blowback is pretty hot on the front of the thighs, and if riding in those temperatures the radiator fans will likely be on more often than not. Heat deflectors can be bought from Ali Express but they don’t help that much, but better than nothing I suppose. Best thing is to angle your legs outwards a bit to get the thighs out of the heat. Of riding steadily, like on a highway, the heat on your legs is not so bad as the wind rushing by helps dissipate the heat better.

@@GrumpyGoat Thanks for the feedback. My riding will be a combination of smaller roads, some highway and quite a bit of riding around congested cities such as Bangkok. I'm currently in Singapore trying to find a demo bike to ride before heading to Thailand, but so far no luck. At the moment, the heat is my only real concern on the Triumph. I have seen a couple of videos on the deflectors, but they seem a bit hit and miss. Hopefully I can find a bike to demo. I was also looking at the 2024 Africa Twin, but after contacting may dealers and Honda HQ in Thailand, nobody is able to tell me when, or even if, that will be released in Thailand. Yes the laptop installation is a bit dated, but so is vehicle software. DT appears to stay on top of the connectivity with the bike through various model years so for me that is important. I made is video largely to clarify the installation process. My having a Windows machine (and with the latest version of Windows) was a plus in DT's favour. I don't like working from a phone and no longer have an Android phone anyway and TuneECU does not work with Windows.

I've just installed them on my 2024 as per Barkbuster's instructions and they fit perfectly. The clamps fit the curve of the bars fine, just need to fit everything up loose first. Trying it the other way, as you described, created problems on the right bar as it restricts the room to adjust the angle of the brake lever.

Glad to hear that it worked out for you on your '24 per the BB instructions directly. I too fitted it up loose and wiggled everything so that they found their natural "set" position. A little confused on where the lock washers go. Do you put the cam lock through the rack, washer, then attach to bike?
@GrumpyGoat
@GrumpyGoat Ай бұрын
Yes. When the lock knob is installed on the rack, it is the washer that keeps it from falling off the rack. Then when you install the rack on the bike you simply turn the knob to align the prongs with the slots in the holes on the tab and turn the knob. Of course the key needs to be used to lock the knob to keep it from spinning, when installing the rack. After it is attached then use the key to set the knob to spin freely.

You just have to position the washer square on the end of the shaft, line up the slots in the washer with the prongs on the shaft, and push down with firm but steady force to go past the prongs while splaying the claws of the washer apart enough so that they bite on the shaft. Kinda hard to explain but it just requires enough force. BTW, the claws of the washer have to be facing up as you place the washer on the end of the shaft. Facing downward won’t allow you to push the washer down onto the shaft.
