The irony which these GMs can't grasp is that nobody actually knows or gives a fk about the teams. We're not there and may never get there. People tune in to watch the players and the team format. No one actually cares if the Cincinnati BobbyDolls or the Topeka ChimneySweeps come in 2nd and 5th. It's still just about JW vs. Julian Arnold. Not what team they're on.
@sorrynotsorrypickleball4 күн бұрын
That’s a great point. I think it’s possible to get it to the point where people root for teams but that’s gonna take time and effort on MLP to make that happen One step closer with the 3 year contracts but still you’re choosing your “fave team” most likely on your fave players If there was actual home/away games, that could change but without that it’s nearly impossible

people talk a lot abt ben s potential new partner but we forget to talk abt ben himself. ben is the reason cj plays that type of game, ben likes the steady dinkers/defensive players like jessie cj and loong so the question is, is ben willing to change the way his team will play the game and adopt a right sider that will play 40-45% of the court and participate more in offense

Thank fuck travis said ben should play with matt wright, Matt is the perfect partner for ben playing right and will provide nasty ass hands and actual offensive plays for ben. He’s has a super game IQ and knows his role while actually providing more offense than Collin. Such a obvious teammate ben should play with.

Sorry mic was bad! This podcast is why MLP will not get fans , there are no rules , no teams to get behind because people are traded so quickly. These are people in the real mix and they do not even know the rules with trades, etc... MLP makes up rules on the fly and it is a mess! Get your crap together!
@sorrynotsorrypickleball9 күн бұрын
Yeah some clarity is much needed
@travisrettenmaier15399 күн бұрын
It will in time. The product is great, but clarity certainly needs to be established. The last few years have been chaos with merge, formats, etc. with that said I think MLP will find its stride and cater to communities soon.

I’m so bummed you weren’t able to do the most recent MLP recap, but you are a good friend to attend their wedding. I’m confused on some MLP rules that you probably know the answer to. If a team chooses to serve, do they serve every game, or just serve the first and then the other team serves the next game? For the dreambreaker; the team that chooses to act, do they reveal their lineup at once or person by person? If person by person, do they act for each person or do teams take turns acting and reacting? You are a great pickleball guru!
@sorrynotsorrypickleball9 күн бұрын

Top 5 hooks... 1st ball clearly out lmao. Bad sport for calling it correctly. Then your evidence for the rest is frame by frame where the ball moves a foot each frame and you cant even tell... Then the last match Waters is all pissy about the first call (which was right) hooks her like 5 times, then she misses a shot and the official finally ocerturns a call to be in that Waters hit out. Now that one was infuriating.
