Its called a pigs tail. It turns your food without ripping the coating.off the meat. I use it to turn vegetables (fried eggplant) and to drag meat through flour and egg. It works great, as does the blending fork for mixing up biscuits, pie crusts, ect...have a great day!
@alandacraft2 күн бұрын
Thank you Elaine 😊. I have to say I love both these items and they are getting a lot of use. I make deep fried buttermilk chicken and the pigs tail makes it soe easy to coat the chicken and pop into the fryer.

This is such an adorable bag. I was looking for one of your other tutorials when I saw this and I realized it was 8 years old and I've never seen this previously. I will definitely be making this. This could use some of those fat quarter bundles I have that coordinate so nicely.
@alandacraft2 күн бұрын
You can absolutely use fat quarters for this one. I like it because it's small and I don't always want to cart a large tote bag around.

Would this quilt be possible to do as a Quilt as you go? You have me hooked. lol
@alandacraft2 күн бұрын
I can't see why not Deanna 😊 . Construct each of the blocks as quilt as you go and join the blocks together with sashing. We have a video on how to join qayg blocks. Here is the link www.alandacraft.com/2022/11/01/how-to-join-quilt-as-you-go-blocks-with-sashing/

Thanks for sharing. Why do you need the pockets though - can the squares be stitched down or does it have another purpose that I missed somehow 🤔
@alandacraft2 күн бұрын
You are so right, the pockets don't serve any purpose and you can stitch them down. A nice decorative stitch would look nice. This is just a quick and easy way to make a hot pad.

Thanks for the excellent guidance. one step I would have added, before adding border and/or backing, is to iron the seams. I couldn't have done it without your help ... excellent video!

Alanda, I just now found your tutorial. I love your accent, and you are making the most beautiful quilt I've ever seen! It's pretty, it's classic, and what a treasure, a real keepsake, you're making. I hit the Subscribe button, and the LIKE button, and I am definitely going to try to make what you have created. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your lovely comment Nancy 😊. I loved having my mother and m-i-l's crochet doilies to add to the quilt. Both have passed so it's a nice reminder of who they were and what they meant to me.

I'm sorry Margaret but that material is no longer available. We picked it up from our local Spotlight store here in Australia some time back. I would love to get some more myself but have been unable to find any.
