Thank you for the honest review. Ive always wanted a Vanderhall but after watching this I too feel that dealers aren't entirely on-board with Vanderhall services and issues. Therefore, I won't be buying a Vanderhall at this time.

How's the screen on this headunit? Pretty clear? No werid white washout when looking at an angle? Is it easy to see in bright sunlight? I'm debating between the cheaper ax6000 or the 9000es. I heard the better 9000es screen is way better.

Arguably if it IS a "motorcycle" legally? And you have helmet law? guess what? Helmet required....which is fine by me anyway! I would wear one driving my miata except then it makes it look like I am "racing on publich highways" so I dont
@dougiequick112 күн бұрын
It would be more appealing with a motorcycle engine and transmission.....with a number of different bike motors you could have 200 hp normally aspirated less weight and better gearing. The downside would be reverse but for a toy I cant see that being a huge issue

Question… when you prime the filter do you leave the oil inside it before you install or do you dump it out? Going to do my first oil change on my 2021 street bob. Curious if the oil spills when you go to install the filter
@Idahoup13 күн бұрын
No, I don't dump it out. I just fill it up about half way and it doesn't spill out too much when installed. I also use a piece of cardboard to catch any minor spills.

I think the best short answer I can give is that if you are mechanically savvy you are more likely to enjoy the Vanderhall experience. If you are not mechanically savvy, I would suggest going another route because at this point there is not a lot of Vanderhall support in most areas. Hope that helps.

Did you have to tune the roadside after putting the slip on?
@Idahoup18 күн бұрын
Anytime you change the exhaust or air cleaner, you should tune the bike. With that said, I haven't tuned the Road Glide yet, but I'm switching out the headers very soon (working on it now) and I plan on tuning it then. That's the short answer.

Did you notice any change in low end performance with the DB reducers in? Have the same mufflers and I’ve only ran it with them out.
@Idahoup27 күн бұрын
I'll be honest, I was mainly looking at it from the sound side for this video. I'll start paying closer attention as I play around with the reducers (in & out) and I'll get back to you on this one.
@KCMNHD24 күн бұрын
So I ran the reducers over the last few days… less sound and didn’t notice any change in performance. Thinking they won’t be needed unless you decat or switch head pipes. Fuel moto also recommends leaving them out for best overall performance on a stock head pipe. I will be leaving them out for now.

Great video Nick! In the lower RPM's, the sound is very comparable with the stock vs SS w/reducer in (I can't really hear the difference between both). Exhaust sounds louder on high RPM with the SS unrestricted vs stock. I think the real question is where are you feeling the most HP gains for your riding style? Do you want more HP/torque in the low end or high end? Maybe find the exhaust (stock vs SS) that you feel is the most "in the groove" with you. Hope that you had a great 4th of July with Steve and the whole family! As always, thank you for your service to our great country brother!

Bought one wore it twice and sold it. The liner is no good. It needs a two way zipper so it won’t bunch up while riding, the neck opening is way to large let’s alot of air in, multiple layers of leather and pockets in body area make the jacket feel congesting in the chest area plus if you try layering such as with a hoodie the sleeves get really tight. Just my experience.
