Hello, I am an NRI holding an Indian Passport. I have a Zerodha Account through which I am doing my SIPs in MF. It is linked to my HDFC Bank Account which is a resident account. I have kept this SB account to do easy transactions through GPay and other payments to be done in India. Is there any issue here??

Issue with Nominations, especially with Banks, Mutual Funds is that they do not collect complete identification details of nominee which therefore exposes the nominee to unnecessary, undue red tape & painful hassles... Any suggestions. Thanks & Regards

I retired 2 years back and I know not to lent money to friends nor relatives after retirement! No use in keeping money in Saving account… it is like dead fund . Even do not give to your son/ daughter . Invest wisely in with proper allocation in liquid funds … 1) As a retail investment.l/ Mutual fund 2) invest in FD rate 8.5 to 9.1 % as emergency fund . 3) In Assets.

Some Banks insist on a succession certificate even in the case of nomination. Are they right
@madikerirahman320122 сағат бұрын
Yes, because the nominee is only a trustee and not a heir.
@nikhilvarg19 сағат бұрын
While they shouldn't but if the values involved are high they can insist to just ensure no one tomorrow files a suit against the bank. That said, you can showcase the RBI circular to push the bank to transfer the assets to nominee.

See how much you get on monthly bases from your investment and budget your expenses accordingly. If you spend less than your budget for a particular month, then that extra may be lent to needy but not from your budget

Lot of progress going on at that direction in Gandhinagar, Gujarat and I heard from my Ahmedabad based Advisor that now as an NRI we can invest into Global Equity, AIF, Bond and some Fix Income funds as well. Sir, Thank you for your informative Video. I am a retired US Citizen with OCI Visa receiving Social Security benefit. I moved to India 2 years ago. Next tax year I will not have RNOR status, so global income becomes taxable by Indian Govt. My Question: Given Social Security is paid by US Govt., can India tax Social security income? is it taxable by India or USA.

I dont agree with rental livelihood, it may work in Mumbai but other places like Chennai its 0, First Rental return is low then the several costs od mntc finding tenants is not a good strategy in retirement when you need peace of mind... Agree????
