Your skills are very impressive you are an excellent carpenter . Please get yourself an impact driver you wont regret it. Oh and mitre bond is really handy its like superglue with an activation spray which drys in 10 seconds. It would of helped you out with the draw fronts. I love the rebaiting you did free hand for the draw bottoms with your skill saw. The whole thing is amazing you are very creative 💐🌸🌼🌺

I was told that you cannot use lumber that has been treated with chemicals in your stove or fireplace. It will give off a vapor or a toxic ingredient into the air. You could use it outside in a fire pit, but not in the house. But you certainly will have enough wood around your property to start your fire with the twigs and then use the bigger pieces of. wood from the storms to make the fire.

I have the Morso Squirrel. A stove-top fan will help with heat circulation. With your present setup (at the time of writing) you are creating heat spots. A fan won't evenly spread heat throughout your house, but it will help with that "too hot in one room but too cold in another" feeling. You can use as many as you can fit on the top of your stove and you can pick them up for less than £20 each.

You don't get why doing something as a women is somehow "special" compared to men, because you come from a country where women are not told they are victims all the time. The Netherlands and the Northern countries in general have reached a point where PEOPLE do just what they want to do, regardless of their gender. Some women follow "traditionally male" jobs, some fall more in the traditionally female category of care taking. But no one really bothers with those categories or makes them a big thing. I hope we get there some day around the world. So people can just BE who they want to be without all these labels, accusations, things to aspire to, bla bla bla.

Rosie, I just discovered you 4 days ago. I am watching all your videos . I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT WORK YOU TO DO TO MAKE THIS LITTLE HOUSE A HOME! Fixing up this run-down cabin, your talents and precision in your talents for design and functionality, have left your audiences speechless. You are amazing and calm as you face a new issue as it comes about when you are working so hard to be precise and caring you put into practice is inspiring to watch. When I was young, ( in the mid 70s, I fantasized about living in a cabin the wilderness in Montana or Wyoming , Opening a general store. I too love the thought of a quiet life without drama! But my fate took a different turn of events. I met a wonderful, loving, gentle and funny man. We had 2wonderful sons together. And time flew away as we lived a quiet life in a small town in Indiana with only 1500 people. But we’re retired and set in our lives with our grown sons and their families living only 30 minutes away. We’ve spent 25 years loving grandchildren, 5 of them and traveling about the western states, and plans we have to visit Alaska. You keep up the great work you’re doing as we will be watching. 😢Thanks for living your dreams. / Helen in Indiana. We still love being together married 47 years. We love watching people like you carve out a life alone without many luxuries we take for granted on a daily basis😅. We admire how self sufficient you are and the things you have to do to it easier to live out in th wilderness. I so wish , as a retired high school teacher, we could sit together and 😅

Hi! I've followed you for quite a long while and have all this time though that you are living in the north of Sweden! Today, for some strange reason, your first videos turned up and I watched them. It then turns out that you actually lives very far southwest were even I live 🤗. That fact explains why I soooo well have recognised the deciduous forrest and the type of late 1800-talscabin you are renovating 😂. You do an amazing job and are proving how much a woman with ideas, skills and a lot of self-confidence are capable to achive - congratulations to your wonderful place on earth! Warm greetings from Ewa 🌿🐝🌿!

All that wood looks truly beautiful! I have one question though: When you restored those windows, it looked like they were single glazed windows. And in the ‘before‘ there was an electric heater in that room. Where did that go? And how do you keep the house warm in those cold winters?
