Hi, I am from India. I am planning to create an online auction platform to sell movie-related items. I want to partner with the movie industry to sell their products. When the products are sold, I will get a percentage. What are your thoughts?

Vendoo Chrome Extension cross-listing takes down all other platform listings when a sale happens. Great cross-list option. No more double sales worries.

Also what do you find best to use when packaging china?
@TheResellersNetwork2 ай бұрын
In the beginning I had a problem. Actually spending money on packaging material like bubble wrap. I used to get as much recycled material as possible. But once you reach the point where you can't source enough recycled material then buying packing material makes the most amount of sense. I pretty much just go with bubble wrap. Standard across the board. I wrapped just about everything in it. If you're a good shopper and research the best prices for wholesale bubble wrap, you can get these enormous rolls for a very cost effective price.

In your opinion what’s the best product to use for repairing the glaze on the china if need be ? Also what is your favorite cleaning method you use in order to maintain a safe clean product before shipment?
@TheResellersNetwork2 ай бұрын
In regards to repairing the glaze. We typically will not sell an item that has glazing issues that are severe. In the event. It's a very rare piece of China and cracks in the glaze are in the piece. We would just sell it as is with full disclosure of the crazing. Regarding cleaning, just good old fashioned dawn dish soap. Sometimes if the piece has been in an antique shop and has sticker residue, we will use Goo gone

We're in Australia and stumbled across you video. We became vintage fine China sellers as we inherited lots. We started listing and started getting lots views and even sales😊 so now that's what we do. We've listed all we had inherited and now source through a local auction house where they do mixed box lots of which there are gems within those lots. We started breaking down our sets and we did find that was easier to sell and more profitable. I'll have look through your videos and learn something more.

Everything you have said is true gospel in the resale world. Specializing is something that has been helpful for us as well. I love china. It tends to be a "long hold" but if you have the space to keep it for a little while it has great mark up. Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter times are our best for china sales. Mostly replacement sales I would guess. Splitting up sets is what we do as well. 4 plates, 4 sets of cups and saucers, 4 salad plates etc. See you out there !!!
@handyhistorian4 ай бұрын
Great idea on the lots. I've quickly realized that most of the few hundred books I've accumulated from estate sales aren't worth selling individually on eBay since the big book resellers are selling them for $3-5 with free shipping and multi-book discounts. I have at least 2-3 bundles in mind that may move some of those books for ~$20 each. Do you have any experience with AbeBooks? I've bought many used books from them but don't know if I want to invest the time into another platform when I'm selling everything on eBay.

I haven't had luck with cross-posting -- I really loathe it when something sells multiple times right at the same time. And weirdly, stock that sits forever will inevitably sell at the same time. It's weird.

Love treasure hunting. But I sell at flea markets and garage sales. I do put things on Craigslist and Facebook Market to sell when flea markets and garage sales are off season in my area. No co-assignments. I buy and sell, I also hunt on curb treasures and dumpster treasures. Be surprise how many people just give things away or sell very cheaply and you turn around and sell it. I don't keep things around at very long periods. If its still around after 3 months. I sell at cost to get rid of it. Not once lost money on anything. Love it and enjoy it. It's always a side hustle. When I lost my job or moving else where. Than sometimes it's a full time job, until I can find a regular 40 hour job. I use this money to travel. As I love traveling.

How would i price a set with gold in it? And does it matter if there are spiderweb like fractures across the dish?
@TheResellersNetwork7 ай бұрын
So a gold rim or trim does not really make the china worth more. The amount of gold is very little if any at all. What makes it valuable is the desirability of the pattern and its demand. Check ebay completed listings to see what actually sold in the pattern you have and what prices it brought. Thats were I would look first.

Anybody can sell Pink Floyd in Led Zeppelin records you act like those records are easy to find and they’re really notNot impossible but not easy you should make a video on records like classical folk that may be not so easy to get rid of but if I could get up and find zeppelin and Pink Floyd and all the classic rock records every day that would be a good day but I like your video
@TheResellersNetwork7 ай бұрын
I agree with you. The biggest challenge is always where to find good records to sell. The rare ones you find are a nice scratch ticket find when you come across them but The ones that come to me tend to be 60,70 and 80's rock. I have the best luck because I can sell volume at a consistency that makes it worth it.... The hunt is half the fun.... Thanks for commenting. Hope to hear from you again.

I'll NEVER understand a 'professional' record collector/seller putting their fingers on vinyl to remove it from a sleeve when that is almost never required to do so (as one can clearly see in the 'very good' portion of the video... makes me question the 'quality' of the seller.

Sure, I think it can be done in any country. I'm not so much familiar with the Amazon FBA rules outside of the USA, but I know that eBay does very well selling used goods overseas. I'd say research the best platform for the country you're living in and selling in. No matter where you live, people always want to buy
