CORRECTION: There is probably nothing more beautiful and adventurous than crossing the Atlantic on a sailboat. And of course it is a challenge on all levels, physically and mentally. Small spaces, like a slightly smaller sailboat, are the perfect place for tensions and conflicts to arise. Facing a situation like this is a great challenge for anyone. It would be interesting to hear what everyone involved in this Atlantic crossing has to say about themselves and the crew on board. It would be interesting to know a little more about how they prepared for this trip. Or if they have even mentally prepared themselves for it? It would be interesting, for example, to know a little more about their thoughts, feelings, training and career.

When my wife and I did this same journey we had a force 10 gale and arrived in Falmouth in thick fog.

Would you mind commenting on which island was your favourite in the Caribbean, and why? Personally I've never been to any of the French islands, Guadeloupe or Martinique, and I've heard that, if nothinn else, you can get a good French stick and shopping for food is top notch.

Now about 3.5 years after the end of your wonderful trip, what is the situation? Are you planning a new trip or has the boat been sold? Or are you back to normal in your everyday routine?)

Still a fabulous boat all these years later. I hope you are both doing well. I imagine that you are more than 2 by now, and have a lovely little nest somewhere by the sea.

Since TruDesign says you can put their valve on a bronze or stainless thru-hull fitting, can I ask why you needed to replace that part?

Thank you very much for many hours of interesting and exciting samling adventures. I noticed that you have tre same Lewmar 45 three speed winches as I have. Have you managed to find any spare parts and/or service kit for them? I have been searching for a long time with no luck.

Wow... I can't believe that she didn't stop and pick up that plastic garbage - she actually left it there. She knew it would cause harm to fish and animals but didn't do anything (other than talk - go figure - typical no-action white woman) who never gets it done.. so sad. This planet is doomed as long as they persist like that.
