Awesome. That's great news. I plan to put this on my two story house, so hopefully two packs of those a hundred and nineteen feet we'll work

The only thing they did tell me afgrr this video is you can't put more than two connected strands together on the same power source, which was kind of frustrating because I wanted to wrap the whole house on the one power source and have a consistent pattern all around. I have some landscape ground lights they sent in the back on a separate power source that solved that issue for me, but it would have been nice to have the eaves lights all around.

It's much more thick and the new seeds are springing up all over. Once the new seeds mature a bit and thicken up, I think the color will be much better on the lawn. I have been impressed with the seed blend, mainly how quickly it germinated and how fast it's grown in such a short period of time compared to some other fescue blends I have used.

I’ve had nothing but problems. The same problem with two different new blowers. The switch acts like it has a bad connection and for 400 I’d say there are way better deals out there

Dang, that sucks! Are your issues with the trigger or the power dial? I luckily haven't had that issue with mine so far.

@@TheLawnLover both I think. It acts like a bad connection or something. The first one did the same thing so I took it back and the dealer replaced it with another new one and it does the same thing. It’s very aggravating especially for the price. And there is no information anywhere on the internet about these things. I know I can’t be the only one to have this problem

@JeramySvehla Very interesting, that's not good to be having that issue, especially with two different units! You would think the dealer would work with them to get it figured out, I understand how frustrating thst would be especially for the money.

Just curious do you have any fungus issues with your fescue?
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover Сағат бұрын
I have had issues with leaf spot and dollar spot. I started doing a preventative fungicide plan a few years ago that has helped tremendously in keeping the disease pressure down considerably. This is a big reason why I have been introducing new varieties of seed into the lawn that have better disease resistance.

I bought a Bluegrass mix for my area. It looked great for a season before another variety (Poa Annua) invaded and made the yard look blotchy with different colors and textures. New seed is not enough. You have to maintain that homogeneity of grass type. I my case I need a pre-emmergent treatment for the Poa, and a post-emergent, too.
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover Сағат бұрын
Poa can definitely wreak havoc on your lawn. I usually will overseed in the fall if I notice thinner spots from summer stress with various varieties of fescue seed blends to introduce new cultivars. Pre emergent in the fall after new seed is established is key to help try to suppress poa the following season. Thanks for watching!

14 days isn't something to boast about. That lawns is all rye grass and will die off in a matter of years.

If you think this lawn is all rye grass, you may want to call your eye doctor and schedule an appointment to get checked out. This lawn is about 90% tall fescue of various varieties. Been here 12 years and it hasn't died yet 😂

How would this stuff do in Las Vegas? And what does it take to overseed it on an existing lawn? I just have a small front lawn and nothing in back (it's all swimming pool and concrete, but could be talked into getting rid of the bushes and rocks in back and putting down grass instead if I could get grass that would look like this.

I use pre emergent in the spring. I have used this aerator all season and haven't had any weed issues yet, primarily because the grass is thick and chokes the weeds out. My goal was more to cut down the disease pressure and use less fungicide and that has been working so well this season. Thanka for watching!

As for the moles, they are a lawns friend. They are insectivores and do not eat the turf as is a common misconception. They are seeking grubs, such as Japanese Beetles. If you don’t want moles, apply insecticide granules to kill the grubs. Better yet, leaves moles to do the job and help aerate in the process.

If you want to improve upon success using triclopyr (whether 3, an amine, or 4, an ester), you can add a few drops of dish soap such as Dawn, to add surfactant. This will lower surface tension of the water to help spread evenly on the “hard to penetrate” Creeping Charlie leaves.
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 4 сағат бұрын
I agree, but it was instructed not to use a surfactant with the product when I applied it. It appears since filming this video a few years ago, they may have updated the recommendations. Thanks for watching

Now, with the power source, it says on another video. Did you start from left to right? My power source is on the eve. Outside on the left hand side of the house.Am I able to power on either side of the wires
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 54 минут бұрын
You can go in either direction from the power source. The instructions that were included in the box didn't specify a specific way to string them. Regardless of the direction you string them, the patterns in the app that are loaded will run left to right.

Great video! I’m curious on liquid aeration over core. I was thinking on giving it a try. What are your thoughts and does it really work? I live in Cincinnati. Any recommendations on good quality grass seed. Thanks
@TheLawnLover
@TheLawnLover 2 күн бұрын
I no longer use a specific liquid aeration product, but I do use Thatchbuster from Turf Titan and it does help break down thatch and aerate the soil during the season. If your lawn is not severely compacted, liquid aeration is a great alternative, but if you have severe compaction issues, core aeration will give you a much better start. What kind of grass do you have? I have a primarily tall fescue lawn and this season I used Resilience II from Twin City Seed. Last season, I used Flame RTF from United Seed. In the past I have also used Jonathan Green Black Beauty Ultra with great success. Thanks for watching!
