I submit Kurt Elling as the most grotesquely egotistical and fake performer of all time.

Kurt Elling = Jazz. (Jazz is not Chart tunes.) Elling is the greatest male jazz singer and interpreter of our time.

I love many of his and Laurence's arrangements, but not this one, terrible key for Kurt, . Really don't like what he does with this, but love John's guitar playing as always, what a great unsung player. This time they took a great song and butchered it in my opinion. Oh well. That said, these guys were fabulous in concert, saw them at Iron Horse in Northampton Mass, it was a near religious experience. Did stuff like House is Not a Home and Foolish Heart - magnificent.

Kurt Elling...I take my hat off to you..Fabulous rendition of Come Fly With Me..When I first heard that number it brought to mind Sinatra( the Late Frank Sinatra who aren't familiar) great backing..Thanks guys..Best Wishes from Robert of Adelaide in South Australia

You GET what they did, here. So much of what's going on in jazz is doing something new with standards and pop tunes. This is such an energized, creative version. If someone doesn't like it, they're expecting Sinatra's version.

Silly to judge a jazz artist by a singular performance. Musicians, especially jazz/improvisational are effected by moods, physical energy, audience energy, room acoustics, band, etc…If the vibe is good you can experience an elevation in group energy and individual creative risk taking. You may even hear some “magic” as risk taking starts to inspire both the group and audience. But…it’s never the same and that’s the beauty of jazz and improvisational music. If you want perfect or the same performance every time, play a recording at home. Live jazz is (or should be) about taking risk. But, also consider when you take

What a beautiful and thoughtful rendition of that song! Kurt Elling is masterful with his vocal interpretation of this song and everything else he sings. He has complete command of his “instrument” and this just blew me away. The band members are all virtuosos in their own right.... just WOW !!!
