.... Continuation from previous comment🌺😊 - Considering how many parties that were involved in the "Joost case" one must understand that it takes time to conference and wait for info.from the police. They could have said that a police report came in and shall be investigated. - Gabe defends those who don't know the rules/behaved childishly and contributed to increased chaos (Joost, Bambie, Marina...). Like many who politicized the competition, they were also a cause of the drama (aside from their fine performances and persons in general!). 6 countries considered withdrawing from the competition 25 minutes before the final, result: crisis meetings all day. - He portrays cops on every corner as something negative/stressful, without understanding the relevance of their presence. Sweden has high threat level and started planning the security work already when Loreen won. They worked with police from Norway and Denmark to handle the mass demonstrations that took place on the final day and before. Various efforts protected the area outside and inside the arena. Other people said that they felt safe and that the police were kind. Their strategy was "a smile on your face". 😊 - He said that Malmö was a loser (a mild expression of what was actually said), which is a subjective opinion! A sucsess from a security point of view with no one injured, considering how strong political forces of hatred characterized the event. In addition, he forgets all the JOY, WORK from everyone who was involved with the show, the production and activities outside the arena. Creativity, idea generation, successful collaborations between artists, choreographers, designers. New ties of friendship. EUROfansCLUB where people met and danced. The exceeded budget that the whole event cost. The stage designed by Florian Wieder, based in L. A. and Munich and Fredrik Stormby from Sweden, Green Wall Designs. Both have worked with the world's most prominent artists. The "pre-programme" for us Swedes before the final interviewed all the happy visitors from all corners of the world. Here the atmosphere was high and at its peak with flags and costumes. Malmö is not just a press room, we are often there in the summers and mostly stay in the western harbor area. Feel free to watch this beautiful coastline, YT: Praiworks, "West Harbour District in Malmö (Sweden)/Västra hamnen Stadsdel i Malmö". 🌅💖 Not everybody has this negative view like Gabe, an example is the youtuber MarkHere who gave the whole experience 8/10. Jan Bors also highlights the TV production and entertainment value as slightly better than last year. Some interval acts were gold and the hosts get praise as well as the Swedish humor. People need to think about how they channel their anger and frustration and whether it is on the right object. The EBU must also strengthen its communication against the contest. Also every country should be very firm in communicating to its fans. 🌺 Sorry for the long speech. Normally I'm very lighthearted on "the whoops", but this felt important 😊. I don't expect everyone to agree, but it needed to be said. Thanks for that! Have a nice summer both of you!! 💖🌼🌷☀️

Hey guys, nice to see you whooping it up again! 🥰 🌼 It might not count as an outright crime, but I would have liked to see some grand ballads performed by great singers from the nf selections: Irama, Ryk, Krick, Ollie (rock ballad). Without taking away the shine from those who won. I've already talked about my shocks from the competition at Georgi's channel, Norway the biggest, so thought to highlight another "crime", also as general information. It concers the radicalization of some hardcore Eurovision fans. Some spread false information, toxic environment, shut down verifiable and real facts, slandering and blaming wrong persons who have the bigger/real knowledge. This can be dangerous, as they have a large following of followers where not everyone has the ability to review the info. with critical eyes. They are too sure of their opinion and want to be King of the Hill, even though they only have a fraction of verifiable facts and lacking knowledge. Some statements are based on emotions and conspiracy theories. Also bias for one side without seeing the bigger picture and from another partys reality. Some remove/block comments that have the real facts. It happened to me and one should be aware of this if watching ESC Gabe's videos: "Eurovision 2024 was a complete disaster" and "winners and loosers". (they were removed by him, not YT, because they were in the popular ones and got likes). Perhaps because they were too revealing, which could have put him in a less good position. The excessively negative storm of criticism against certain incidents/persons are not true! Here are some overlooked counterarguments: - ESC is an entertainment program/song competition and a community aimed at unite people through the power of music. Not a political platform to direct hatred towards a government/brutal leader (Eden symbol). It's the TV companies that compete, not the state/government. - Israel's song was not political, they changed the lyrics and followed the EBU's demands as they have done for 50 years. Gabe's propaganda speech about this is therefore irrelevant. - Eden Golan has nothing to do with a brutal leaders warfare, and who opposes the demands of the Hague tribunal. She competes with her singing voice/song in a singing program. If one put 10 million people in a picture (which doesn't work) and takes out A 20 year old singer + 5 dancers and make them responsible for their governments brutal actions and to place your anger on - it becomes very unrealistic and unproportional. Sorry but talk about placing your anger and frustration on the wrong object. Gabe said that we shouldn't blame the audience for booing Eden and Martin Österdahl??? Shameful!!! - Martin was not alone decision maker of Joost's disqualification!! Eurovision's highest decision-making body, the reference group and EBUs executive board were involved in the decision. Senior managers from 15 different television and radio companies from 13 different countries were united in the decision! Martin's leadership is idea-baised with a number of core values, from which the employees is allowed to act autonomously. He is more coaching than authoritarian. He will coordinate 40 different public service companies that all have different financial conditions, national laws and regulations and unique cultures. Some quotes from him: "hate does not belong in Eurovision". "We are not the arena to resolve a conflict in the Middle East". He is extremely learned and professional, so that Gabe called him a loser, especially in Joost's case is pure ignorance!!! Decision-making is a much larger apparatus with the EBU as an extensive body. Continuation follows in the next comment... 🌺😊

Love your content and your wonderful laugh ❤️ As a resident of Malmö, I am grateful that you spread that you felt safe and liked the city and how they organized Eurovision in the city. Unfortunately, there are so many who want to paint the picture of Malmö as a horrible and unsafe city. I partied in the Folkets Park with Mr. Go_A and Käärijä and demonstrated against Israel's involvement and not once did I feel scared or insecure. I love Malmö and that all voices are allowed to be heard here.

Hello from Graz - Austria! I am quite "new" to ESC KZfaqrs. I love ESC for years now, but this year was my first one, I kept searching through sooo many clips about ESC 2024 before and during - and still keeping on - and I have to say - the way you do your clips is OUTSTANDING! Your natural positivity, your just infective laugh, the way you talk, your interactivity to all those other very handsome guys, all about your knowledge and living your dream and sure... that deep sea in your eyes 🫣 I feel honored to have such a privilege to watch to you and your videos. So - THANK YOU! How amazing, beloved and adorable can someone be? Great job! Thank you for taking me with you on some of your ESC steps, walks and moments. And please forgive me some sure boring words and sentences - I always try to write without translation programs from German to English. 🥴 Feel huged Gerhard

Italy - I love the song, and I think the staging killed it... too busy, too flowery/thorny stage, the wow effect of her being alone on stage like in San Remo was gone... just staged badly UK - staging yes, a bit dizzy... but the vocals were bad and hung on a very simple song... just sounded like a badly sung nursery rhyme... not a nil point material, but... close enough

Zorra I knew wouldn't go far, I just knew from the start, it was big in the bubble but not at all ourside of that. And...I am sorry for you guys but I was happy with it 🙈🤣. Georgia had a terrible running order, I think that killed her, and I feel really sorry about it, she deserved better. And I 100% agree with Georgi's mum that I missed a real real rock song 😢. Olly (UK), Windows (Finland) and Nebulossa (Spain), what this year has proven is that there's a limit after which nudity and man-on-man action is not tasteful. And dirty showers don't look good to vote for. Some of my friends said they left the room for UK performance.

Hi Shane, hi Georgi, that's how different opinions can be. All the ones you liked to qualify and keep watching were boring songs sung and stomped by women. Not everyone wants to see a bad copy of Chanel every year. No, we want to hear good songs. If you review that now, you realize that ONLY women are favored by you. Except for Olly But Olly's performance was too much, if he had concentrated more on his singing. It wasn't a good song, it wasn't a good performance and the vocals were weak. I say no one deserves 0 points, I hope you remember that next year. Especially when it comes to Germany again. None of you realized how good Isaak is LIVE, nobody had to cry for a Ryk. Sorry I'm also so glad this ESC is over, I missed the fun.

Thanks guys. Once again you are fair, fun and it's wonderful to witness such a genuine loving friendship you obviously have. So thrilled you are returning to whoop it up again and as you say more on its way... brilliant. Biggest crime....just being left with an uneasy atmosphere with this year ESC. Happy enough with the result and think Sweden as hosts did well to plough on under tricky circumstances ( Netherlands, Israel and threats to boycott at last minute). As an older massive fan of the singing competition Malmö24 should have been more enjoyable. And UK's total rejection from public was possibly understandable but very very sad. After the initial WOW!!! factor of bagging Ollie to represent us to now what the **** do we (UK) do next year. So I feel your pain Shane. Anyway the fact Esc Whoop is to continue has made my smile return and already waiting for the next installment to drop. Happy summer guys.

Jury tanking people's number one again. Ireland not winning. You go Bambie - vocally masterful, and possibly most compelling staging ever. Azerbadjan not qualifying. It was vocally beautiful, and I loved the traditional signing. Staging was not the best, but still. GR and IT did not have the right staging IMO. Wasted Marina's and Ahgelina's insane charisma and charm. Female bop just needs to more original. They all even had body stocking costume. Chanel derivative dance breaks. If Kaleen had pushed harder on gritty aspect of electro, if only...

My biggest crime of ESC this year is Gåte finishing last in the final. For a performance of that quality (even if the song wasn't entirely my cuppa tea, but I still respected it) to come last is shocking tbh. As others have said, this result will probably mean that Norway won't be as inclined to send a native language or a rock/alt song to ESC for who knows how long. As for Ollie, I definitely agree that 0 points is a crime (I even voted for him 😭) but the two biggest takeaways from his performance (especially watching it with pretty neutral viewers) was vocally it wasn't great unfortunately and some of them found the performance too sexualized (same issue with Zorra, wonder if that reflects their televote). The performance, whilst I understand their critiques, looked great, like up there with the best staging the UK has sent and I really hope the UK aren't disheartened about the fact that they definitely did some things right (unlike Embers). Also I can't help but go back to peoples initial reaction to the song, I like many were kinda disappointed to hear the song because I love so much of Ollie's other music this felt tame in comparison. Two semi crimes that I have are Czechia nq, because watching that performance, it felt like it was absolutely quality enough to qualify, it looked great and my 2nd semi final crime and this one hurts, Malta nq'ing and being last. In what universe does that performance come last? I know some will say the song wasn't the strongest but like I don't think last is justified in the slightest and I do really worry for Malta in yelevote only semis as they've pretty much always struggled with the televote, apart from Destiny in 2021 but even the support for her song wasn't reciprocated in the final.

What surprised me about Spain was that the live audience seemed totally into it and singing alone... it was in the top 5 or so audience response but it didn't translate to points from the juries (not so surprising they mostly don't like songs that aren't in English) but also from the televoting.

I think people do not like perfect, shiny things anymore. It seems superficial. When it is or it looks too expensive people can't relate. I think, the world has changed with Corona and the actual political and economic situation. We prefer authentic and real. People who are different and talk about their story. People that embrace imperfections. People that are brave enough to show their diversity. Or just humble people. Malta was too perfect. Italy too much. Angelina Mango with her voice and her stage presence would have been enough. More authentic.

A few scattered thoughts... 1) If you're argument is that Malta and Czechia should have qualified, then what two songs from semifinal 2 that qualified should not have qualified? Austria? (If that had happened, that would have been on your crime list instead of Czechia.) Latvia? Norway? (A Norway non-qualification would have been a crime, in my opinion.) The song that shouldn't have been in semifinal 2 in the first place? I'm receptive to that argument. 2) It was an incredibly competitive and high-quality year. Unfortunately, not everything can make it through. 3) I have a lot of questions about the future of generic pop in Eurovision. Sweden did well. Cyprus finished the best of the generic lady bops, but it was still on the right side of the leader board. This year, for those who came to Eurovision for pop songs, the generic pop generally got slaughtered by countries like Italy and Greece who sent quality pop that is anything but generic. 4) Based on what has happened the past few years, I'm a bit mystified why and how dance breaks became the kiss of death. Maybe there's just too many songs with dance breaks? Is it as simple as that? I don't know.

What I agree with Georgi is that Mileo not being in Eurovision was a big crime, and absolutely agree with you Shane, is Aiko not being in the final, because the performance was great, she sang really good and it was such an upgrade from her NF. Now is where I disagree with almost everything, don't kill me, I love you both🤣🤣🤣 OK, I said this in a comment on your Twitter, but Georgia and Malta were too much, that was the problem. They're very talented, the songs were not bad and they were insane, but too much intense. It was too much dance, too much high notes, too much of everything, it was exhausting whatching them tbh, so I don't see the crime here, sorry. Also, I love Dizzy and I love the performance, but let's be honest here, he didn't sing well at all. Still he didn't deserve 0 points, but it didn't surprised me either. And as I love La Noia and Angelina, the stage was a big error. She didn't need all that, Angelina alone was enough to get a top 5. For me the biggest crime was Luktelk being SO low both in the jury and the televote, I just can't understand it. Well, maybe I can understand the televote in general. I mean, there was so much fear for that country to win that the televote was massively focused on 2 or 3 countries with the highest chances of winning. That's how I see it. And finally, in the absence of official news, I can only emphasize the great injustice of Joost's DQ. The biggest crime of all was what the participants had to experience this year. That Silvester said it was a traumatic experience says it all. Thanks for your videos, you always put me a smile on my face💗
