We have a 2023 Rogue a beater commuter car. Gets 27 mpg mixed and it's hard driven miles. Love the car just hate when you start the vehicle. It sounds like the battery is dying. From day 1 dealer says its nornal. 33k miles no other issues

@@pokFryRicebich like it’s a slow start up process? If so yes that is normal for the Rogue 1.5l. Make sure your engine air filter has been replaced. I’m very glad you’re enjoying it!

@NissanAltimaGuy Yup that slow start up process. It sounds like something is wrong and or battery dying. Already change Air Filter at dealership.

Why not run it in Sport mode & turn off VCS off?? I have a 23 I got 5.5 0-60. Don't floor it off the line. I always use shift paddles.

God. This thing can gap a 3.6 Pentastar (Charger/Challenger SXT or GT). If you put a cold air intake and a performance cat back exhaust (perhaps an ECU tune) you could probably go toe to toe with a 5.7 Hemi (Charger/Challenger R/T)

Nice upgrade i considered the pathfinder or the titan when i sold my Altima but decided to go another brand for the family vehicle. This one so clean though and that interior is A-1

@@occckid123 Oof idk that’s why I was also willing to jump now. Not to say the VC-Turbo wouldn’t have much better go low speeds, I’d rather have N/A after that Rogue experience. However I’ll say the Altima is at 69k miles now and no mechanical issues and it’s 6 years old next month so the 2.0’s are solid imo.

im driving a 2021 altima SV, i want to feel pushing back of my seat but that cvt doesnt give that torque feeling. I wish that they put a dct or 8spd auto on it so that may give us that feeling..

You need the VC-Turbo because that thing will put you back into the seat! Honestly surprising how the Rogue 1.5 VC-Turbo would do the same from such low end torque on both.

These things are quick frfr. That little 1.5 puts in work lol. And then $50 for the same 440+ miles a tank I had in my big SUV is nice. But I do miss the room in my big SUV. This thing is so cramped.

@@mrbrowz1000101 They are pretty dang peppy for the displacement size lol. Oh yeah it’s not midsize or full size but compared to the competition it’s one of the roomiest in its class. My one recommendation is just not to take it past 4k rpms too often (power dies off as you know anyways). I’ve been seeing numerous 1.5 owners needing an engine replacement. I’m also one of those owners, but I’m not 100% sure mine failed on its own. I think because the dealer had worked on timing chain parts for a slight rattle it had on cold starts (that went away) it lead it to its grave. It didn’t completely fail I was able to limp to dealer. Nissan just had them replace the engine and so far 4k on this new engine and only abnormal noise it makes is this loud diesel like clattering on low rpm’s when taking off. I’m having them look at it this next week…I’ve been meaning to make an update video for this channel regarding the Rogue. I will do so soon! I love the Rogues though don’t get me wrong! impressive engine technology too has about the same power my 10’ g6 gt 3.5 v6 had at 221hp 221tq however the cvt doesn’t hold anything back unlike the 4 spd auto that car had.
