Thanks! As referenced, this one absolutely doesn't do well outdoors. Even when it's fairly still outside, you lose control of it immediately.

Good review! I have one of the knock-offs of this and am modding it. It has lots of power for a down-graded crawler. I see that your backyard is very spacious. Have you thought about setting up a crawler course?

I liked my sr whatever it was from 10yrs ago. Wasn't as stable and had a flybar much smaller landing gear but it was faster outdoors and much more outdoors friendly it didn't have smart flight. With this one I get into a good flight forward and it pitches back coming.to a stop. How do I avoid this? Seems like the flights were longer also. It was the baby brother to the 120 sr

I started out with a cheap all plastic Syma S5 as my first one. I crashed that over 100 times learning how to fly and never hurt it...go figure. My next upgrade was a Kawasaki green Syma S107G. It was quite a bit better built for a few bucks more. Although I have progressed I will never outgrow this one and continue to fly it no matter what else comes along. For $22.98 you can't beat this one. My next upgrade was a Syma S107H-E which is a upgraded S107G. Guess which one I am pretty sure I am getting next, thus what brought me here. The Blade 70S looks to be the best one of them all...however I wouldn't start with it. At $59.99 you don't want to crash and wreck it just starting out even though they claim it is for beginners. My advice is start with the Syma S107G first. You can then skip the cheap Syma S5 and the more expensive $49.99 S107H-E going right to the Blade 70S. You are free to do as you wish, but trust me when first starting out you are going to crash a lot. The Syma S5 and S107G take that abuse very well. I'm sure the Blade 70S will be slightly more fragile due to it's more complex design and controls. It still looks to be rugged and sturdy enough though given you have a little practice flying these mini R/C helicopters. Remember you can buy and wreck three Syma S107Gs for what this one Blade 70S sells for. The Syma S5 sells for less than $15 usually so you could buy and wreck four of those. Save the Blade 70S until you get your feet wet and better.
