Simply put when your whole career is based off beef nobody will eventually care .. the fans only listen to drill for the violence sadly they only listen to hear the newest diss go to the other side and her the return vice versa but the difference is new york drill is way less violence than chicago. When your rapping about the same bodies from 10 years ago it wont get you that far! Also it causes alot of these rappers to crash out they feel they need to portray the image even more ending usually in their downfall .. look at kay flock the fans had him thinking he was the biggest baddest out of nyc basically untouchable and he reacted poorly to a situation because of that .. what he would have never did before he started doing because of the fame and that was his downfall!

Why isn't drill still on top? Is it lack of new material that hasn't been rapped about or lack of innovation I just think overall drill rappers or rappers in general have short prime years very few artist become big time I don't see it as a gener where you can stay big time for 3+ years And as stated in the video if drill is only hot because of the beef and violence then you practically are doom from the start to maintain longevity, you basically have to have new beef every couple of months or for years if that's the only reason fans want to listen to you It dosnt create true hits where you can go back and listen to it 10+ years later and be a classic like a Tupac or Biggie track
