Suena tan suave y dulce como esa brisa de la mañana que te hace recordar lo efímero de todo lo vivido y lo efímero de la primavera en los pétalos de una flor

Sounds like all it really needs is a carved sound board in place of the plywood.
Well played! Where did you learn the tune? It is one of the most popular ”polskorna” here in Närke, I have been playing it since I was a child. I have a nice ”andrastämma” too 🎶💗🎻

I'd love to know the name of the instrument that was featured in Abba's instrumental tune: 'Arrival'. I don't know it it was Swedish but I got the impression it was: lovely sound from it.

Interesting exercise ! 14/20 My excuse is that I'm French, so not that used to hearing nyckelharpa. (Hidden message: please come to France and play polska. I love it so much, music and dance. The deep sound of nyckelharpa is just awesome.)
@EmelieWaldken23 күн бұрын
Il y a une belle scène de nyckelharpa et musique scandinave en France =) Un bon point de départ est le CMTN (Connaissance des Musiques Traditionnelles Nordiques) par exemple.

Excellent! I recognize this one! I've been throat singing for a decade and have recently been taught by Soriah, a local who sings professionally and has won competitions back in Tuva

I do throat singing too, but only covers of Taylor Swift songs. This genre of Tuvan folk music is new to me.

Cool tune! So what exactly are the characteristics of a Scandi polka? And how do they differ from pols / polska?
@EmelieWaldken23 күн бұрын
In short : - Polskas are in 3/4 and in-between 90 and 130 BPM. - Polkas are in 4/4 and go at 120+ BPM. They also have a very "jumpy" feeling that polskas don't have.

I have a special relationship with nyckelharpa thanks to my old classmate Åsa Jinder, who was made an official Swedish national player of nyckelharpa at the amazing age of 14... Her father also was one of the renowned builders of the instrument (Curt Einar Jinder, if I recall correctly)... ...Time flies, memory limps... Also a very big fan of Tuvan music, EPI Enkhjargal Dandarvanschig This piece, so beautiful! Per aspera ad astra ars longa vita brevis
