As a Bedrock Redstoner, I agree that I wish we had access to odd game ticks. It might break some of my stuff, but honestly I wish they would stop focusing on things like, "Doors and trapdoors sound the same now" and focused more on, "Anyone can build Redstone regardless of version". It might take a while, but it would be well worth it. Each system has its pros and cons, but it would be beneficial for the overall health of the game if it was all pros. Give Bedrock Java's speed, consistency, and QC. Java would also benefit from Bedrock's movable tile entities and redstone connecting to pistons. Parity will be hard, and parity will take a while, but it will be very beneficial in the long run.

why do they care so much about Java and Bedrock consistency but also not? Like Bedrock has a stronger wither, Bedrock doesn't have any way to access odd gameticks, Bedrock and Java are undeniably different, but instead of reworking Bedrock to be better so that it would be fully consistent with Java, they make a few Java features worse. The worst part is the hypocrisy of "we want to make Bedrock and Java the same", but then refusing to rework Bedrock to make the two the same, and just making bad changes for everyone. If the next Minecraft update was "The Bedrock Update" and the whole update was just spent reworking Bedrock, I would be infinitely happier than if they did a standard update.

I think wind charges are going to end up like fire charges first it’s “that’s so cool” and then it becomes “not this again” purely because there’s no setting were you would use them “unless” Mojang adds a staff that you have put like mending and unbreaking to that that shoots them out so you don’t need to carry around a stack and it could also be used in red stone machines without needing 9 stacks of them
