If 5-coats of latex paint work well enough,u wonder how latex caulking would work. Just put on some rubber gloves and saturate the hell out of it and smooth it out as best you can. Ima try it.

Literally all you have to do is cover the foam in plain clear or yellow packing tape. Done. I layer it over a bit

Thanks for sharing , I tried polyester resin also had a melting . I tried a cheap boat paint 2 coats , worked but yeh 4 coats probly better.
