Nitara, Geras and Sub players been asking for buffs and finally got them so maybe our time is coming for some actual buffs lmao

@@H2O__L agreed dude. His backdash is so bad lmao. But yup, that sounds about right! Smoke/Sareena definitely terrorized the online player base for awhile in the early meta lmao. I've also had people get on their mics to talk shit because of Smoke stuff lol

@@xX-SilasXx 1 - its really weird that ermac and Rain get real cancel pressure but not Smoke. The patch yesterday also didn't do enough imo to make it worth spending the bar on the EX cancel. Ermac is also +5 after EX cancel but his normal cancels were already better than Smoke so it works for him lmao. Smoke needs more than he got 2 - F3 being actually staggerable would be amazing 3 - agreed. I'm cool with the speed if it would just crush pokes like it looks like it should. Sucks getting smacked outta the air by down 3s lmfao 4 - I'm fine with him having a mediocre armor move because I want his rushdown to be better, but it doesnt feel right to have your armor triggered on accident, and they still have enough time to just block and punish lmao. Or when it gets triggered and you just whiff somehow 5 - 7 frame startup EX VV would be fantastic. I also think it should just be a launcher when EXed. If I do F3 and think my opponent is gonna mash after the cancel to stop me doing anything, I should be able to do EX VV and counterhit their poke, causing them to crumple (like after Scorp kameos overhead) and then combo them 6 - a projectile could also be cool. I think he should have another version of shadow blade where he throws it horizontally. If it hits, it yanks them in front of you like the normal version. If you EX it, it yanks them toward you but in the air, letting you juggle after. Or you could make it his actual Smoke ball. Make it a mid tracking projectile that if it hits, teleports them in front, and if you EX it just teleports them above you and you can act soon enough to juggle from it. Any of those would be sick lmao There are definitely more buffs we could come up with lmao. For starters, he has no use for F12 grab + back, or J211, or the full B234 string. And F324 is also almost totally useless. Would be neat if any of those had a purpose lol

@@wascourge9817 that was my thought too that the backdash cancel pressure would be similar to existing characters that can already do it. Yea I dont think the Kara cancel thing would be that strong. It just would give another option to open people up and make them more scared to try and up block. And I agree about VV. They kinda did that in the patch yesterday. EX cancels are now +5 more frames. Only issue is all his cancels can still be mashed out of, except 212. But spending a bar just to get that situation off 1 string doesn't do much. Especially since you can just react to that string, and just hold block until they do a different string. If they spend meter, then you just stayed blocking and the most they get is a throw or one more normal to pressure with, which you can then mash after if it isn't 212. Not to mention 212 has giant holes lmao

@@chillwill7 old smoke ball would be sick. Its wild that he doesn't have what is essentially his most legacy move. Definitely seems some gaps to be removed. But so does a lot of the cast lol And I personally just think he needs a better way to call out people who poke during his pressure

@@AwesomeBRINKS Now that you mention that, a smoke parry would be great. So you can cancel out of a string with gaps into the parry and catch ppl trying to steal turns

@@chillwill7 there are several cool things they could give us to call out people mashing pokes or armor during our gaps, cancels, etc. And a parry would be one of the sickest. Do F3 cancel, get D1ed Next time do F3 parry, they D1 and get either launched or maybe just hit for like 10% Then next time you do F32 cancel, and throw them The layers would keep growing and it would be super cool to have a tool that ACTUALLY threatens them. Vapors is too unsafe on block for how little damage it does with Scorp or Goro

@@Nathan-bj2vz i almost included a parry as one of the changes to his cancel pressure. Cuz if you could do a blockstring into parry, and it looked similar to vicious vapors, then you could sorta call out the mash with the parry, which would be sick

@@x0nix honestly his damage isn't that great. He's got decent damage. His meterless combos solo are around 32%-35% give or take which isn't that high. To get high damage he's gotta spend bar on ex tele, but he already prefers to spend meter on invis so he's not usually dumping the meter for big 45%+ combos unless using Scorp kameo, which every character gets huge damage with lol

​@x0nix he absolutely doesn't. He has good damage with some kameos...but im telling you it's a lot of work. ASHRAH gets like 40% for like 7 hits. It's nuts.

You could argue that he has a lot of mix ups and such, but in reality is more like intimidation than anything else really, because even if you special cancel one of his strings into the vapors or the bomb or the low teleport, those are very reactable, insanely even as if you dare to try and the opponent knows, you will die. The only way it could work is only by spamming the bomb to turn invisible, if they hit you then yeah they eat a whopping 9% :D (which is pathetic), and if they ignored, now you can somewhat use your "mix ups" unless the opponent notice and then you die :)

@@TheinvisibleTV19 yea he really needs some help. He's too reliant on the invis. Most of his mix isn't that real unless he's invis. And yea all his ex smokeball stuff is reactable unless you end a combo with it. It sucks lmao Smoke really need some help lmao. I like his costumes a lot too. And also agree that the default mask doesn't look great lmao

@@Ero03497 most people only see that we can go invisible and thats where the convo ends. They don't realize we usually have to spend kameos and meter to go invisible at all, and usually we have to open them up to even have the chance to do it lmao

@@jonyFreestyle soooo many holes dude. Every relevant string has gaps, the best tools can be easily upblocked or mashed on, and he doesn't even have good defensive options. Would be sick if he could at least enforce something when he gets in

It’s a recurring problem with a lot of characters, it has to be faster wake up armor already to avoid stabbing the ground with each wake up when their combo character AND increase the speed of the blow so that they can not block the fucking armored blow WITH a hit
