Especially with kameos(And also fairly difficult as you said. I still drop that dash jump link after BF3 lmao) His combos with Janet and Scorp are very different from his combos with Cyrax. Its awesome Speaking of which, you should check my Ermac/Cyrax combo video if you wanna see some crazier or more unique combos than what I got into in this video. That team is a blast. Though Janet is probly his best kameo overall

Thanks for replying! I’ll definitely try cyrax and scorpion if I can ever put down mavado. He doesn’t take as much precision in the timing as scorp so he’s me go to kameo. And cuz his low is cheap 😂 And yeah that bf3 jump cancel is driving me insane! I’m trying the combo you do at 8:46 but I always jump too late

Thanks for the video ! I'm just learning Ermac which I like since MKX and I wanted to play him again. It is hard for me to hit the combo as I have no clean input. I tend to rush but I will continue to lab and hopefully get to it. I will first practice the BF3 jump cancel which is the "easiest" route for me at the moment. I cannot get the jump yet but I will get it ! I've subscribed to your channel directly as the vid are really cool ! Thanks for the awsome job !

Execution is still hard for me but I’m getting my cancels and the jump cancel is finally there ! What are you recommending as anti air with him ?

@@epineykingdom of course! I try to reply to all my comments when I can! And oooh nice, Master of Souls was the first variation i played before I learned Spectral. I use Cyrax but haven't tried Mavado with him yet, which seems like a fun team. Yoooo I'm glad to hear you've gotten the jump cancel down!! Good stuff, I'm sure the rest will come in time too!! And for anti-airs, stand 1 is fine. But stand 2 if you can react fast enough with it, seems much better since its so disjointed. You can also antiair with EX Lift if you wanna spend the bar. In my Ermac/Cyrax combo video I have a couple anti air combos sprinkled throughout the first half of the video

@@PsychicJaguar19 Yessss net combos are sick, but the bomb setups that you can do with Ermac are super sick. Mustard posted some on Twitter and I gotta do some labbing for them too. Ermac seems like one of the few characters that can actually use all of Cyrax's moves lmao Oh yo same dude. I need all the ninjas, human or cyber to be roster characters. Especially Noob, Cyrax and Sektor

I know I’m pretty late but do you have any tips to getting the “F2, BF1 Cancel, and F4” sequence? I’ve genuinely never been so annoyed by a combo starter so much in this game. I’m pretty hit or miss with it. Good video by the way, keep it up.

Well actually yes, I do actually I’ve been spending a lot of time in training mode just bored out of my mind so, I do have a question, because of this do you think I should just play matches and use training mode to fix problems in my gameplay to make it more enjoyable or do you think that could embed errors? Just curious as spending all my time in training mode is dry as hell is why I ask.

@@JordansMortalKombatAdven-xn3qo honestly my answer to that question would depend on the person. I personally like to know all the stuff I can do with my characters before playing online, and find training mode to be super fun and rewarding. But as you said, it gets dry and boring for you, so I would say you'd probly get a lot more out of just learning 1 or 2 basic or universal combos to start, and then maybe just jumping into online to try it out. And then you can return back to training when you have more specific things that you realized you wanna work on if that all makes sense!

I haven't played this game in ages, I think is stopped after the sun zero season. College and all of that. I've always been interested by ermac and reptile (my main) he looks hard but I do wanna learn him. Thanks for the video brother 🖤

But yes Ermac is on the harder side overall, but hes very accessible imo in that he has some easier stuff that you can pick up while working on the harder stuff. Sick character. @Brinks I think a lot of what’s dry as hell is trying to memorize every combo string before trying to even learn how the gameplay works so, yeah I think I will just be using your beginners guide and then just learning through getting my ass kicked as I think that will be more fun at the end of the day to learn through losses rather than grinding in training mode all day long before even hopping online

Yea that makes sense! Its honestly best to go with whatever approach keeps you the most motivated and is the most fun. I love labbing characters and learning what works before playing against others, but I've got friends who get bored in training mode and would rather just learn basic shit and then jump into matches against people lol.

Yeah honestly, as much as I hate staying in training mode I really think trying to lab the character and learn the basic gameplay mechanics and how the game flow works before hopping online would be best for me, so I actually have an idea of what the hell I am even doing when I hop online in the first place

@@JordansMortalKombatAdven-xn3qo yea that makes sense too! Just try and have goals in mind with what you wanna learn. Can even be as simple as just wanting to have like 2 or 3 combos that you can do consistently, and figuring out when you would likely be landing those combos. And then you can expand from there after playing matches. Ermac is pretty sick in that you can start pretty simple and then expand from there. His 12 string is fast, safe on block, and leads to good damage with BF3. So you can get a lot out of that and don't need to start right out with his 2 different cancels

Thats awesome of you to say, thank you!! And oh is that in the Reptile part? EX tele -> 4 -> BF3 -> Dash -> F4 -> Float -> j14 -> 4 -> EX Lift i think. I'll try it and report back. The j14 after the F4 seems like itd be hard to connect with the combo gravity at that point

@@KOMBATKRAZEDTV YO I GOT THE COMBO. It for sure works. It does 328 damage if you end with 4 into regular Lift after the j14 Does 360 damage if you end with 123grab after the j14 You can also do j123 after the F4 into 4 into BF2 for 355. Which is an easy kameo extension point. If I do the exact combo from the trailer minus Mavado trap, it does 389. Definitely not the easiest link to connect the F4 high enough to get a j123/j14 but if you do the stand 4 into BF3 as fast as possible, you get a bit more room to work with Also I super appreciate all the kind words dude!! I try to be really detailed and thorough with my stuff so its really awesome to hear its working for people and helping them!!

Does 400 damage for 2 bars and 1 Cyrax bomb call Gravity seems too high to do after a j123 though, but just barely

Great vid man. Don’t have a lot of comments but i definitely am gonna start learning his meterless bnbs that you showcased. 32% reg is solid. He looks so cool and i already bought him yesterday. What exactly does the floating move even do? Is it just to extend combos? Cheers 🤙🏻 Post labbing session edit: i’ve managed to consistently learn a 27% small combo off 12 but thats about it lmao. His bf3 cancels are easy but for me the aggravating part is jumping into the air after it seems to have a VERY small leniency window. My character either just dashes forward or jumps and does a bouncing aerial string but then when i try to resume it on the ground i’ve already lost gravity and my grounded string drops. Just gotta put time in. Any tips on the jump timing into the air? But so far he seems super cool and his kit resembles smokes a lot with cancels which i love. However that means just like smoke, he’s gonna take a WHILE to learn. Which is great. Although it will definitely take longer as this character is definitely harder/more complex than smoke as he has 2 damn cancels to learn not 1 (disgarding smoke tp cancel). Unlike peacemaker who i never really clicked with i will definitely see my self enjoying him. Just gotta practice. Focusing on learning the 33% meterless 12 bf3 cancel air122 12grab bnb you showed at 5:40. But that damn air jump after the cancel is pissing me tf off 😭. Have a good one lmao

Sorry for the late reply but thanks dude! And yes the 12 BF3 route is pretty solid. Getting that much solo meterless damage off of a 7 frame string that is 0 on block is pretty damn good. Smoke dreams about doing that from 1114 lmao And yessss he is cool as fuck. The float move is for extensions but you can also do some gross mix with it in block pressure. 27% is still solid dude. And yes the timing is fairly tight on jumping after the BF3. If youre tryna do the J122 after the BF3, it really is just finding the sweet spot where you can jump as fast as possible after the dash. Once you start to get the timing for when you can dash out, you wanna start incorporating the jump, almost like you're rolling your thumb from the dash to the jump. At least thats how I tend to do it. And you wana buffer the J122 as early as possible during the jump. I hope that made sense lol. And yes Ermac is sick and he does have some similarities to Smoke with the cancels and execution barrier. I love it. Harder characters are where its at imo. So rewarding to learn. Especially when dude has soooo many combo routes. I'm working on an Ermac/Cyrax combo video for Monday and I could lab this character for hours. Thats awesome that you're enjoying Ermac tho!! I also never really cared much for or clicked with Peacemaker. Probly will be the same for Homelander but im super excited for Takeda as well. I hope you've gotten better at that BNB tho since posting this! I swear it gets easier. I can get it like 70% of the time And BTW if you wanna cheat a little, try it in the corner. You get a little more leeway there since you don't need to jump as far so it might help you get a better feel for the timing so you can do it midscreen. And thanks, you have a good one too!

@@AwesomeBRINKS yea i have been practicing a lot and slowly seem to be getting it. Now its moreso a gravity issue. My grounded string does the 21 but the grab portion drops. Super annoying. Yea i was confused on what the float move was for but that’s cool how its a combo extender. Just weird because unlike smokeand ermacs bf3 which are actual special moves that do damage and then the cancel is what extends combos, the float is literally just a combo extended lmao. What does ex float even do btw. Yea the harder things in every game always feel so rewarding, which is why i prefer them to be top tier over characters like raiden and johnny who are the opposite. And yea the more combo routes the better. Unlike subzero who only still has ONE DAMN ROUTE without kameos. If anyone needs a new move, its him. Give sub a mid starter or a low starter. I’ll definitely try that combo in the corner and see what you’re saying lmao. Can’t wait for the smoke buff vid. 🤙🏻

@@therealshumbucket Thats sick! It definitely gets easier. Character has some harder links for sure. Especially with some of the F4 - float links. For 12 BNB tho, you pretty much gotta do the 21 as soon as you're actionable after the j122. It feels weird at first but I've gotten pretty consistent at it. Its an annoyingly precise combo tho lmao Oh yea I didnt spend a whole lot of time talking about it in my vid. I think I mention it but the EX version is just 10 frames faster start up than the regular. It technically lets you extend some combos you can't normally, but so do other specials that don't scale the combo as hard. The EX is gonna be used for the mix setup that I showed in the video between F4 float into air move or F4 into airDB3. But yea thats a good point that its weird having a special like that which has no attack and isn't a buff or something. And yessss harder characters are great. I was actually super worried that since Ermac is so popular, they were gonna make him a super basic and accessible simple character. I'm so happy they went completely the opposite direction with him. Lmao I love when characters have tons of combo options. To be fair, Sub at least has a couple variations with all his different air strings, but yea everything is gonna start with Back 2 somehow lmao. Him getting a new move would be great. Would love him getting a couple tho. Something to make his neutral stronger, and some kinda special that he can convert from meterlessly into juggles. Or just speed up ice ball to do that. His F1 being reverted to 12 frames like in the beta would give him a real mid and would be sick And sounds good dude! And I can't wait either. I'm tryna work on this Ermac/Cyrax combo video, plus the Buff Smoke vid plus the next Kameo Klass lmao. So many projects

Shame how characters like smoke get plenty of options (not saying they’re flawless or amazing) to start combos once u learn cancels. Whereas b2 is subs only true option. I’d be fine with ice ball being faster genuinely, but i’m 99% sure the reason it isn’t is because of zoning. However i think sub needs it so fuck it make it quicker lmao. Edit: after like 3 days of practice i finally hit it. FINALLY

Any tips on the float cancel. I tried slowing down when doing the flying knee but it either doesn’t come out, or cancels into teleport

Hmmm do you have Release Check turned on in your control settings? Thats the only thing I can think that would cause the teleport to come out, since negative edge means it takes your input from when you release the button. So if its on and you input F4 - DB2, it might be reading it as F4 - DB4 when you release your thumb from the button from F4 to press the 2. Hope that makes sense and helps solve the problem! Lemme know if you have further questions or if that didn't work!

I’m getting back into MK games and I’m having the hardest time getting my dash into an aerial 12. Good example, the ermac kombo 5 string. I can dash all day out of it and run a combo afterwards but if I try and go aerial I’m late. I’ve tried some setting changes and timing as well. Any advice for that would be really appreciated. Maybe my forward up should be in sync when I hit 1??? I feel like I’m losing my mind😬

If you mean dashing out of the BF3, and then jumping into j122, it really is just about getting used to the timing. Its a pretty tight window, but youre essentially jumping as soon as you start dashing. So you're kinda hitting forward and rolling your thumb from there to diagonally up, and hitting 122 as soon as Ermac leaves the ground. Its not an easy confirm for sure but there is a sweetspot with the timing and I just had to keep experimenting til I got the timing down for the dash jump into instantly hitting j122. I'm sorry I dont have a better answer other than practicing it til you start to figure out the exact timing

I'm sorry I can't give you a more useful answer lol I think its slightly easier to get down in the corner, so you might be able to practice it there to try and get used to the dash jump timing since you don't have to dash as far. Does anyone else have major issues pulling off the DB2 air cancel after using any string that ends in 4? It's automatically using teleport, with or without input shortcuts on.

How do you actually do the cancel?!!

If you mean for BF1, while still holding the button for the charge, you just dash out of it. So press forward twice or backward twice. Make sure you keep holding the button until after Ermac dashes out. I find that when I mess it up, it's cuz I let go of the button too soon before the cancel actually started, which causes Ermac to just release the soul punch Lemme know if you have any further questions!

EX refers to enhanced special moves. Dash is hitting forward twice in quick succession Back dash is hitting backward twice in quick succession Lemme know if you have more questions!
