basking broodscale just goes infinite with Mazirek and makes infinite mana and very large broodscale. Scurry oak is also very good in Mazirek EDH, but broodscale is a little bonkers and for 2 mana to play.

I think it depends. If you are playing a casual game, I don't mind, but inform the players beforehand that you have some of those or it may become a bit chaotic. In a tournament or other official event? no, never, those need to be as clear as possible... The best use of those in my view is as tokens. Many decks create tokens that are copies of other cards and these type of cards help distinguish between the original and the token.

I played the leprechaun in a deck. St Patrick's day deck: turn the entire opponents deck green. Lures for it, lifelace, circle of protection green to last, stuff to make lands creatures to turn them green...

2003? As annoying as Mindslaver was, it's got nothing on affinity. Disciple of the Vault was much worse than slaver during that time. Sundering Titan is also a worthy consideration as it forced players to play mono color decks during Mirrodin block. . I'm surprised Bitterblossom and Cryptic Command weren't on the list, as no one liked fairies and those two cards were evil. I would. Those were cards that I think would be on most people's hated list. Finally, I'm really surprised Stoneforged Mystic wasn't on here. Stoneforge was a bigger culprit to CAW blade than even Jace was. Games were decided on the mystic and who had or hadn't the spell pierce. The game was over, but continued for turns. I'll take an infect deck over that deck any day. Honestly, after Mental Misstep, the game was great until Jace in Origins. Just my opinion. While not as bad as 2019, there were some moments in my time in standard.

that cavern of souls situation is really interesting, interpreting not declaring a specific color as the player explicitly choosing the colorless option is logically false, really what's happening is a question of if you're allowed to arbitrarily tap permanents that result in no effect, if a player doesn't explicitly state which of the 2 tap abilities are being selected then tapping it is an ambiguous act so either it does nothing and whatever happens to spells put onto the stack that can't be paid for would happen resulting in the counter spell being irrelevant, or if magic prevents invalid plays the player would be required select one of the abilities in order to resolve the ambiguity

I mean Ugin's still a land in legacy, so Kozilek's Unsealing's gotta be interesting in stompy eldrazi. 4 cost eldrazis become almost free if you have the Ugin up, in some ways better than free because you can also store the mana, and maybe you just splash the new 7 with the new land and it just gets you somewhere.
