An ancestor of mine was transported to Australia for the crime of teaching Irish history to Irish kids. The English, who occupied Ireland at the time, considered this to be sedition. So was convicted of the crime of sedition and transported for 11 years. The reason I point this out is because it shows how determined they were to stamp out the Irishness of the Irish people. Sinead's performance here shows how futile that was.😊
