I was wondering whether “HOME” might also develop Darcy’s situation. In the comics, it’s mentioned by Tara that Darcy’s home life isn’t good, when they are at the beach. So it could all come to a head about then.

I’m guessing the scene with Nick Charlie and Nellie is probably from a montage of Charlie trying to say I love you to Nick before the beach day? I’m wondering when Charlie’s self harm relapse will happen so I can be prepared 😭…I’m thinking probably in the “winter” episode because Joe Locke referred to the *first half* of the season as dark and also I don’t think it would really make sense to be in the “body” episode 🤔

I genuinely cannot wait for this season. I love that we’re gonna be getting story lines about mental health where it feels like there’s a light at the end of the tunnel rather than being stuck in misery all the time like most shows portray mental health to be. I also hope we get an insight into other characters mental health, such as Nick. I can’t imagine it being easy knowing that the person you love is away in the hospital and there’s nothing you can do. I also am hoping that Isaac’s aro/ace story gets the justice it didn’t really have time to get in season 2. I am also really hoping they touch more in Tori’s feeling about it and maybe have the two have a conversation about it as this show is known for putting unlikely pairings together

I saw someone on Twitter hypothesize that the moment of them (n plus c plus Nellie) in the park maybe when Charlie is looking at the photos in nicks room before he goes to say I love you thru the door. I think in the comics there’s a little mini montage of the moments that made the photos (if I’m remembering correctly) so maybe it’s a flashback of sorts to show them over the summer that we missed. I also feel like it could be a flash (that we didn’t see in the opening scene teaser) when Tori says “you’ve been together all summer” and maybe that’s when there’ll be a montage of their activities?

I have to admit that I am obsessed with this universe that Alice created. It’s so healing for me personally as a middle-age gay man . Because I’m so obsessed with it I actually took October 3 off from work because I knew I wasn’t going to be able to concentrate knowing that the episodes had dropped. I plan to watch and rewatch the episodes at least once.

In the comics it is Nick Tara and Elle who go on the road trip to check out universities but in the TV show Elle has already been accepted into art school I wonder if they will use a different character for this

For the picture with talk, did anyone else notice that Charlie is not in the photo? I haven’t seen anyone mention it yet (I haven’t seen anyone mention this anywhere) . I’m very curious about that. If Thom is right about the birthday thing, he hasn’t left yet. And I don’t believe he’s left for the hospital either. I know it doesn't come across that way but the "I can't believe you didn't notice/comment on" comments are VERY badly worded compliments. I believe I did notice something once that you either didn't notice or didn't talk about in your video. I actually forgot to post about it, so don't remember now what it was. But my first thought was "I can't believe, I, a Heartstopper pissant noticed something THE Heartstopper deity didn't". The "can't believe" isn't based on your being dumb but on your being so smart that it's hard to believe you'd miss anything. The KZfaqr watch it for days does these incredibly detailed "deep dives" into Columbo. She did one for an episode directed by Leo Penn. She didn't mention that Leo was Sean's father. I almost did the "can't believe" phrase but I didn't thanks to your wise counsel. But my surprise was due to her research being so incredibly thorough, not because she was dumb to not know about a TV director's kids.

I can't wait for the shower scene! I also want the scene that takes place on the ferris wheel when Tori comes out to Charlie as ace. And for them to develop Isaac Henderson's character a bit more. Lastly, the Journey episode is going to ruin me. It's going to shatter my heart into microscopic pieces. This season is truly going to be a roller coaster ride of emotions! CAN'T WAIT!!!

I can't wait to see season 3, but am anxious to see if Netflix will commit to a season 4 or more...if Netflix doesn't come through with a renewal, maybe See Saw can work out something with another streamer. Anyway, thanks for the insights into season 3!!!! ❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜

I think we all know what Winter will be about lol Still love that short story and I cannot wait to see what all was adapted from it. My theory for the screenshot of Love is that maybe it's a quick montage scene of Nick and Charlie being cute and just *barely~* saying it to each other leading into the mirror scene right before the beach. I agree with your theories on Home, and with it focusing on Tao and Elle I think they will also broach a bit more on Elle and Tao's relationship with her being away now and them finding "home" in eachother. Zoo for Nick's birthday has me jealous lol Talk could definitely mean some kind of conversation between Nick and Charlie about Charlie's mental health, would also ruin me if it turns into Nick talking to his Dad about doing better.( And skimming the other comments, I would also love to see them talking to Issac about his growth in realizing himself and his feeling) Journey gonna make me sad :) Can't wait to see Joe's acting on Charlie's development with his journey through getting help. Body I agree will defintey deal with Charlie's feelings over his body and them helping him make progress over battling those thoughts. AND YEAH DRUNK PARTY!!!! Together & Apart to me are going to be a connecting line between various people in the group deepen their relationships together, both dating and friendship wise, and then them finding out how to be apart from one another in a healthy way. Basically what you said. And I hope we get the scene with Charlie and Tori on the ferriswheel, maybe even throw in a nod to Issac and see Tori have some kind of understanding moment with him. Will def be dope to see how the storyline develops this season and where Imogen will be through it all since she's new to the timeline :D Cannot wait for October!!!

I wonder whether Nick's dad will return for this season. given the fact that Sarah will be missing as well due to Olivia Coleman's scheduling conflicts. I also have a theory about episode Love about Isaac discussing being aroace with Charlie because of one still I saw (though it might have been just Tobie and Joe cuddling). I was also thinking maybe the episode Body will also somehow involve Darcy because we can see her cutting her hair and wearing a binder which are quite important body changes. And regarding the comments I also have one plea - please, if anyone watched the leaked S3, do not mention any spoilers in the comments, because I saw it happen and it's quite rude to those of us who are waiting.

Great summary. I can imagine ’Winter’ ending on the NYE party to leave the viewer on a positive note after the heaviness of the main plot. I’m hoping since Elle is at art college this season (not sure if that involves moving?) she can talk to Nick about what it is like to not see your boyfriend everyday, and what some of the positives are of having your own space to do your own thing. I also hope we get more exploration of Isaac’s ace identity.

I just found your channel and I have to say I absolutely LOVE your thoughts on the show as a whole, so sorry this comment is coming almost a year after this video was posted lol. Regarding the scene with Nick and Charlie while Nick is holding the ladder and asks him if he wants to eat something, Nick had been with Charlie basically that whole morning. With him saying that he has a late breakfast, Nick knows that's a lie because he was with Charlie the whole time. Nick's face, at least to me, seems like he's almost shocked that Charlie would use that excuse knowing he's been with Nick for possibly hours by that point. It's also just really sad that Charlie has all of these excuses lined up almost perfectly and can lie to Nick with complete ease because he's so used to having to lie all the time about what's going on. Even earlier in season 2, Charlie doesn't even break eye contact with Nick as he lies about having his school work done or in Paris when he tells Nick that he's full from breakfast. He only every looks away when he knows that Nick has caught on either by the look on his face or by what he says to Charlie afterward. Anyway, sorry for the rambling, I just absolutely love your channel and I love Heartstopper.

The Mid-century NY books by Cat Sebastian: chef’s kiss both. Also You & Me (Tal Bauer): incredible. The Extraordinaries trilogy (TJ Klune), the Carry On trilogy (Rainbow Rowell), Autoboyography (maybe my all-time favourite, by Christina Lauren). Practically all the books by Alice Oseman, Bill Konigsberg, KJ Charles, Cat Sebastian (the Cabot series, the queer historical romances, Luke and Billy, etc). Sarina Bowen is a big favourite (Him and Us especially), the Game Changers hockey romances (Rachel Reid). Alexis Hall is sometimes uneven but I love his writing style (I read Something Fabulous 3 times). In graphic novel form, Check! Please by Ngozi Ukazu and Heartstopper (esp. the first volume) by Alice Oseman. I should re-read The Scottish Boy, the Aristotle and Dante duology, Cemetary Boys: all are superb.

Thank you for the recommendations, some of them sound quite interesting 🙂 my top three most re-read books that I have are 1. Marley and Me by John Grogan - there are heaps of stories that the movie doesn't cover and I absolutely love how he describes the funny situations the way sometimes you're not able to read it in public, because I for example ended up crying of laughter at multiple occasions 😄, 2. What If It's Us and Here's To Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera - the single most adorable queer romance with such a healthy relationship which also got me hooked on Adam Silvera's books in general and I'm currently reading my way through all of them (another great one is History Is All You Left Me), 3. Radio Silence by Alice Oseman - I've read all of Alice Oseman's books, but I absolutely fell head over heels for this story and I love Aled and Frances' friendship.

I very rarely reread books because I'm a school librarian and I am always trying to keep up with new stuff as much as I can. There are so many I would love to reread though. Can I recommend Boy Like Me by Simon James Green to you? YA novel about being gay as a British schoolboy in the 90s. Hilarious and heartbreaking and hopeful, I think you would really love it.
