I love and respect Jordan Peterson. I love this video, it was informative and helpful; so much so that I've watched it multiple times. That said, every time I watch it I can't help but chuckle to myself that even a person as brilliant as JP doesn't get the joke "why did the chicken cross the road?" and proceeds to misuse it to prove an otherwise great point. Its like a perfect little flaw in this otherwise exquisitely thought out idea that just seems to so aptly represent him as a person: The intentions are good; the main points are as valid or as true as we can ascertain, the thought process is sound, and the concept is articulate; but, there is that one little hiccup. People tend to pick apart any and all faults of him and his arguments but I'm sure JP himself would be the first to assert that he isn't perfect. Take from this all those positives and just revel at the misuse of the joke - it doesn't really matter! The same can be said for mostly everything he says; I'd urge people not to harp on the little detail that irks you, the majority is well meaning and insightful, accept the beautiful imperfections and embrace what truths are to be found because you only have from today until you get to the other side.
