Don't think for a second that just because Tori takes her studio G#5s and lowers them to a G5 or an F#5 live, that she can't hit G#5!

One of the highest soprano in pop mainstream (higher than the trinity obviously). Almost childlike voice. She struggled with upper 5th octave has nothing to do with her voicetype, but the coordination. Her technique can be extremely problematic above Eb5. So much unnecesary glotal preassure and closed throat. Once she correct her technique, she will breath E5-C6 like tommorow doesn't existed😊

This isn’t a live performance. In the quaranTEA videos Tori did, she is just playin around most of the time. Like, she not about to hit a super high note ALL the time (these videos were super frequent at the time) she tries to preserve her voice. Also she actually can hit this note live, as in a actual live *performance* not her playin around w friends but even then she can hit the note if she was really trying (I’m not saying she isn’t trying here) because she literally has the capability. sheesh

This tour is really underrated. Not a lot of people now are talking about her huge improvement in the vocal community. Some videos like "When vocalists put extra and higher notes in a song" it's either they will not include Tori or when they include Tori, they would usually put her at midbelts considering she did a lot of extra notes that are in high belts. Probably a testament that not a lot of those vocal channels were updated in Tori's improvement. Also, you can tell that her confidence sky rocketed also this year which is lovely and she's so cute when she danced ❤ And thank you so much for this wonderful video, I've been waiting patiently for fellow Tori kelly fans to celebrate her improvement through acknowledging and discussing her vocals this year.

both are equal, the 2023 Tori's ease is the same as 1998 Mariah's ease, since Tori rarely belt notes above G5 (I mean she belts these notes on live performance but rare) and Mariah only stop at G5 when it came to live performance, they both are the same, plus the 2023 Tori belts 5x G5s, belting F#5 effortlessly, so both are on the same "ease" level on this area

@@danjuliano Okay I see what you mean. But I think Tori is a little easier and I'll tell you why. Mariah has nodules so it's harder for her to belt anything above E5. Also Tori has a naturally lighter voice which makes her voice automatically higher and how Mariah has a lower tone which makes her hit really low notes(F#2!). And Tori doesn't have nodules so.... But that's just an opinion. Not a fact maybe.
