I do agree about 2014 being her best vocal era as far as consistency, ease and clarity. She had some great resonance belts in 2016 and early 2017. Her getting laryngitis back in 2017 made her develop a fear of belting. After that she wasn't as consistent in her belting range and her belts sounded very rough. 2021definitely showed progression. Her current tour you can tell she has been working very hard of her vocals. She's showing the most ease that she has had in her belts in a while.

Yesss, SHE IS PROGRESSING AND IMPROVING!😩😩 especially nowadays on her tour, next vid i’ll post her progression on current Tour. Also her F5 on “Don’t Talk Me Down” with Tori was amazing 😩😭😩😭 JOJO IS ON HER LEAGUEEEE

She probably does it now to avoid strain. That F5 belt in the first video was def strained.

I’m glad u agree 2014 is her BEST vocal era!!! Everything was on point. Ease, resonance, support and more importantly that suffers now… TONE!!!

thank you sm clint, yes, I did some marathon to Jojo’s performance in 2014, and am totally in awe by her skills back then😩😩, SUCH A QUEEN!

@@danjuliano she’s was on FIRE during that time. The easy and tone on the upper belts were barely shouting or strained. Something she suffers with now a lot 🥲

I kind of preferred how she sounded pre-Good to Know era. Jojo kind of sounds muffled nowadays? She was really singing in a very forward, clear, open manner (albeit so aggressive) before.

IDK what to say, but yup kinda agree with you, but thank God, after Good To Know Era! Her upper belts are improved a lot, F5-G5 everywhere

her tone is permanently altered after finishing a tour while having/recovering from laryngitis. Her technique continues to improve since then, but her tone isn't likely to be as "clear" as before.

@@Eman-vp6juit can’t be permanently altered she just needs rest or it’s bc her voice matured as she aged.
