the c.202 didn't have advantages in turn fighting, which was preferred by the Italians at least in the time period of this game. but it was faster specially in 'super' engine mode so it could use speed to gain separation and an advantageous position.

It's realistic because AGMs only require an image of a target to hit it. Issue is, they're designed to track slow ground targets (heavy and small fins) so they don't do well with fast/evading aircraft generally.

In that mission best bet is to fly low and use terrain. If there's an incoming heat-seeking missile, drop flares and change direction abruptly. Honestly, I'm not very experienced with missiles either, having played ww2 games mostly.

Thanks! Regarding specifically the air war, I'd say that they foremost lacked the production capacity: how many planes and pilots they could churn out per day. Secondly, their doctrine was outdated by the start of the war. Too much focus on aerobatics and peacetime competitions meant that training and plane design weren't appropriate - that's how we got the cr.42, maybe the best biplane of the war, but still slow against monoplanes. This has to do with what they took from their experience in the 30s, which include the Spanish civil war. They showed that they could produce good designs though, as seen by the late macchi, fiat and reggiane designs. But they were more expensive in man-hours than the rugged German designs, and Italy didn't have such resource to spare.

If I remember correctly, when I installed the modpack there was an option. I chose English because the callouts are very helpful (and I don't speak Russian), and add to the tension: "Missile, 2 kilometers!"

I think the PzIIIJ is more versatile, the Semo is more gimmicky. Perks for disembarking and repairing faster are a must, you depend more on your tracks. I could have gotten the PzIIIJ (had a spare gold order), but I wanted my Italian crew to have an Italian tank and not another pz, and I wasn't disappointed. Also the periscope saved me from a lot of bullets when I'm in open hatch with the smg-armed commander.

@@pinguim01 Well dont get me wrong. The PZIIIJ is probably a better option for dealing with infantry but once that Sherman shows up your gonna wish you had a 75mm gun is all Im saying lol.

I was checking some info on the shells, indeed it seems that the semovente 75mm APHE is one of the best shells the axis get in terms of post-penetration damage to the enemy vehicle. I mean it has enough explosive filler to be used as anti-infantry even.

@@pinguim01 Oh it works well for that too believe me lol. Im just trying to spread the word to people that yes, the Pz III J and III N are great tanks, but you can be killing Shermans and if your aim and timing is up to snuff, mercing squads at level 18 with the best damn italian tank in game atm. I would love to see it in a custom game against other tanks just to see what it can do to some of the bigger designs.
