I was fine without antidepressant until I started getting back pain constantly. Chronic pain can cause a lot of anxiety and mental distraction. My mood would otherwise be fine. I wish spine bone remodeling were possible so it stopped crushing my nerves. That's the big thing.

An engine that runs on liquid nitrogen is a heat engine. Yes, the "fuel" is super cold, but the environment is not so cold, even on a very cold day. Then energy to run the car comes from the flow of heat from the (relatively) hot ambient, to the very cold liquid nitrogen. Like all heat engines, the maximum possible efficiency is strictly limited by the temperature different. In this case, the temperature difference is only a couple hundred degrees Celsius. That's very small compared to the temperature difference between the peak combuston heat and cooler exhaust heat in an internal combustion engine. A piston engine powered by boiling liquid nitrogen would be, at best, somewhere around 10% efficient. Abysmally bad. For every 10 kWh of energy you used to liquify the nitrogen, you would get about 1 kWh of mechanical energy from the motor. It is such a monumentally stupid idea, I am having a hard time imagining any engineer or scientist who understands the physics thinking it could be worth even trying.

1. Measuring serum magnesium won't help. It usually is measured in a hospital context, given most magnesium are actually inside the cells, so a deficiency should be measurable with an erythrocyte magnesium exam (and that might not even be enough). 2. L-threonate magnesium is one of the best sources for adequate brain absorption of magnesium supplements. 3. It still lacks sufficient data to prove a real benefit, but the usual amount of supplements is not harmful to most people. 4. The American diet rich in processed foods is indeed poor in magnesium, and in fact poor in many vitamins and minerals. Magnesium is important, but there are many vitamins not being adequately taken that play vital roles in energy metabolism, cell replication, antioxidant properties, decreasing cardiovascular risk, building neurotransmitters and so on. 5. In conclusion, the first line treatment for such issues are a healthy and varied diet, physical exercise, avoiding addictions, having adequate sleep hygiene. If you do all that and it doesn't work, you should find other reasons for your insomnia such as psychiatric conditions and other sleep disorders (such as REM disturbances, restless legs, sleep apnea) in general diagnosed with a Polyssonography exam. If after all that you still didn't find a cause, magnesium could or could not be beneficial. Nothing prevents you from taking magnesium before following these steps, but you won't be able to say magnesium helped you, because that would be biased.

I was weaned of venaflaxine really quick. 2 steps down and off within about 4 weeks from the time i started. I then felt so zappy I could walk straight. I barely ate. These symptoms continued for more than 2 weeks after my last dose. It ended all at once after a nasty migraine like headache, 30 minutes of throwing up, and another 2 hours crying on and off. It was horrible. I wouldn't wish that rollar coaster on anyone. The worst part was that because i didn't call my doctor when it was happening, they refused a doctors note for it. Even one that just read that a doctor was involved and meds with a known withdrawal was stopped on x date.

The limited EM spectrum, atomic model and periodic table are wrong. Useful, but wrong (quantization). Fundamentally, math is abstraction, and is thus wrong too. The fundamental quantum operator is probably 1 divided by 0 (and then it gets philosophical). Have a good day. Reply if you want explanations.

Error in the video. 2nd gen histamines are not marketed as non-drowsy because they don't work on colds. That doesn't make sense. They're marketed that way because they don't have as strong an antichollinergic effect in the brain (harder to cross blood brain barrier), resulting in less drowsiness.

Why are we labeling something so natural as grief as a disorder? Grieving for longer than 8 months doesn't make you pathological, it just means you loved the person. This seems both judgmental and arbitrary. Everyone grieves differently, for different amounts of time. Support people through that, but don't treat them like there's something abnormal or unhealthy going on.

Intersexuality is a term has been used in medical science to describe different states of sexual uncertainty due to Disorders of Sexual Development (DSD), nor is it a third sex. When people of the female or male sex have disorders in their sexual development, it means precisely that, that they have problems with the progress and maturation of their biological sexual condition of male or female. All these DSD disarrays cannot be gathered into a single category to erroneously conclude that human sex is like a rainbow or spectrum of sexes that is in between a feminine pole and a masculine pole. In all mammals (which includes humans) there are only two sexes. It is quite incorrect to claim that science proves that there are more than two human sexes.

When I saw the title of this episode I literally bounced with excitement! As a long time paroxetine user I am extremely familiar with the brain zaps. And there is no information out there. So I have a new aspect to put out there that I'd love to know more about; why did the covid vaccine give me brain zaps? Like I had stopped my meds cold turkey. Worst I've ever experienced. In fact that's the reason I got switched over to Escitalopram. At the time I thought if we're going to be getting these shots all the time I gotta make a change or I'll lose my mind. Any thoughts?

A solid like dry ice would be most effective at smothering a fire: the solid pellets or slabs would drop directly onto the ground, and since CO2 is considerably more dense than air it would be less prone to drifting up and away. But the problem of cooling down the fuel to below it's combustion temperature is solved only by water, with its considerable heat of vaporization (540 cal/g, vs. 84 cal/g for CO2.) You'd need about 6 times more dry ice than water to get the same effect.
