Man, you were clearly born in the wrong era. You would not have believed the late 60's and all of the 70's. Mind blowing musicians suddenly erupted from nowhere from everywhere.

This is a great album and a great lead song. For me this and Carry On were psychedelic for the time, and I'm still trying to figure out the instrumentation. Was that a super bass guitar or just an amazing guitar? The vocals were great, the best vocal harmony in the business. Add on Wooden Ships and Guinevere to a listen to list because these fellows were amazing musicians from an amazing age of rock and roll!f

I just saw The Eagles live twice in the last few years. They’re in their 70’s and still amazing!!! My other favorite songs by them are “Take it Easy” and “Desperado”. And wear headphones! They’re like a symphony!

Funny thing was he was just the tea boy in the studio and one day they were testing the mics and asked him to sing and that’s how he was discovered. For the music video he just turned up in his own clothes with no choreography or anything

This not a head bobbing, finger snapping song. Did you hear the lyrics at all. It’s a protest song, against an unjust war (Vietnam) people rising up, fighting for civil rights and against police brutality (sound familiar?) 1967 so yes definitely before your time and here we are dealing with the same issues.

It’s great to see someone from your generation discovering music from my generation. Keep great music alive young man. From the Eagles to Earth Wind and Fire. We had music that had REAL soul. God Bless It was different when you had to drive to the record store and buy an album. When roadies and groupies followed bands all over the country.

This song was originally about the singer's depression, but then the artistic director decided to cross it with the theme of missing young people (at the time their pics were printed on milk pack). You are in fact a little confused because you realized the difference between the lyrics and the video: very smart! the first pic of the video showed it, but you were not watching it!
