I have a ranger 3.0 and my heat doesn't work for an hour or more sometimes. Then the temp guage jumps up all the time and will sometimes go down if I rev it up. There is definitely alot of rust in the radiator when I take the cap off, I guess I gotta flush it and change the liquid wich is just water right now. Anyway I'm wondering if a rusted up thermostat might be my problem? Thanks!

What are the symptoms of needing a rebuild? I have the same machine
@SparkysGarageАй бұрын
If you have a disconnect or mismatch from the controls in the cab to any of the hydraulics to the lower half of the machine then it could be the swivel joint that is the problem. I had very low track power and pretty bad blade drop, The back fill blade would randomly drop while moving.

Do you have to remove the engine to get the carbs off?
@SparkysGarageАй бұрын
No, the carbs are on top of the engine

You are going to shoot the caster cap off through the ceiling. I would remove the cap & clean that old nasty grease of the top also. Nice little shop though..

That mower is only a few years old, so the grease isn't really old or nasty yet. The caps are fine....

Not necessarily true. Many bikes/cars have inherent weak points and/or cheaply/poorly made components that compriseor or limit performance/reliability. Ie; the nissan RB engine series has a oiling issue and crank collar issue from the factory and are essential mods. Just as the failure prone ceramic turbine upgrade.....
