I bought one 3 years ago and have taken out approximately 45 stumps. No problems, other than when I first uncrated it, I should have checked the torque on the teeth. I lost 2 on the very first usage. I use it on a john Deere 1025R, which is on the low PTO Horsepower required. Just use shallower cuts and it works fine. If some are curious, I believe the components are made in China and assembled in Canada.

Thanks very much glad I watch your video one more question are you put back the pin after done grinder or never put back again
@donaldkollar81382 жыл бұрын
Unless you are transporting it, I see no reason to install the pin. Mine is on the shelf where I put it 3 years ago.

Did the quick hitch bushings come with it or did you order those separately? If ordered separate, where did you get them?
@SparkysGarage2 жыл бұрын
They're separate. a.co/d/gYXQ2Qz

What do you normally charge for the stump grinding service? I'm a college student running a stump grinding business and would appreciate any advice. I used to rent a handheld machine for the weekend and price customers' stumps based on age/size by a glance, then bang out as many as I could on the weekend. I just bought a small tractor and this machine so I'm able to ramp up business. I've been told that $5 per inch of diameter is the way to go. What do you think?
@SparkysGarage3 жыл бұрын
I charge a minimum $200. Not worth me loading the machine for anything less. Then $100/hour for my time after the first 2 hours. Grinding, clean up, backfill, whatever the customer wants done. Usually pretty close with my estimates.

Why did you need to trim the PTO shaft ?
@SparkysGarage3 жыл бұрын
It was too long and wouldn't fit between the pto input and output.

Been looking to purchase. What you think overall. Would you buy it again
@SparkysGarage3 жыл бұрын
Definitely would buy again. Already made a few hundred on it with just a couple jobs.

Did you bother to slip the clutch? That's a long ride in salty sea air from China. And who knows how long the components sat in warehouses. Just curious. Thanks.
@SparkysGarage Жыл бұрын
I did. I actually have two slip clutches. One that stays on the machine permanently and one on the grinder. Both slip.

I run mine take about 10 stump and found never remove the stab pin. Big issue ?
@SparkysGarage2 жыл бұрын
That pin is important to remove to keep from putting too much stress on the bearings in the grinder. I'd definitely pull it every time I use it.

@SparkysGarage2 жыл бұрын
@@EduardoGonzalez-vp3cu yes I always put the pin back when I’m done. 👍🏻

Do you fine it makes a difference working left to right or right to left (when viewed from the seat) I fine my stump grinder bounces and shakes hard I have issues with the grinder hopping up and down. Have you experienced this? Thanks !!
@SparkysGarage2 жыл бұрын
Pulling all of the slop out of your 3 point adjustments will help with it hopping. I cut with the non-exit side of the grinder.

What Hp does that grinder require??
@SparkysGarage3 жыл бұрын
I think 20. I know the 1 series deere can run it too.

What is the cost of this and what about the warranty , I like it
@SparkysGarage3 жыл бұрын
Check out woodland mills website. I think around $2500 shipped. I got extra teeth so mine was a bit more.
