When I was around 12 my parents managed to find that set sealed for me on eBay. Opening it and building it was such a core memory for me. I was very aware that I probably would never get to experience anything like that again.

The man that saved lego and created bionicle made my childhood memorable. I loved my first bionicle Toa Pohatu Nuva. The anniversary one to remember Tahu to me doesn't look or feel like Tahu. If a remake could return my only hope is that lego and technic bring back what made bionicle so great, even if it became their first Mature audience it was truly an amazing franchise with great storytelling.

The chronicler is there?! I'm shocked they had the og flame sword when Tahu didn't meet Takuya until after evolving to his dual bladed form per the movie at least. This whole fandom was my childhood thanks for creating it! I had every set up until Takuya mask of light and Makuta set! Played all the games. UNITY! DUTY! DESTINY! My inner nerd heart is so happy seeing this!!!

Amazing. Onua’s eyestalk being glow in the dark is something someone once mentioned, and I’ve been thinking about it a lot lately as I’ve collected the two “European misprint” Kaukaus and noticed they share a color with toa eye stalks. Why do these Kaukaus exist, why was a mask never made that matched Tahu’s eyestalk, and why was Onua’s eyestalk changed from glow in the dark to green?

Reborn of the Hero Factory

I just got all 6 original Toa from eBay. I love the original designs the best, especially Tahu. Timeless perfection. Bionicle was the coolest thing when I was a kid! I’m 28 and still love them.

I was 7 in 2002 and my grandpa took me to Target and I got Tahnok the Bohrok. Then we went and got ice cream! Thank you Mr. Faber for the great Bionicle memories.

The concept of Hero Factory could have really lead to some neat part packs. It's a shame Lego stuck to only selling canister sets and a few vehicle/titan sets. Since heroes cycled in and out of the main group we could have had parts packs that encouraged kids to build their favorite hero if they're missing from this year's line-up. Packaging for a parts pack that looked like the Hero Factory HQ would have been awesome.

The Well of Time logo looks a lot like one of the concepts for the Bohrok symbol, showing their connection with the Matoran, if I’m remembering it correctly

I can not believe how much creativity, uniqueness, and lore was put into a kids toy line under the Lego brand. What an amazing time for culture.

My first set was Onua. I kept pretending he was Tahu by changing his head (and giving him a sword made of toothpicks), but I probably relate more to Onua now. Life's weird like that.

WELL I HOPE THIS IS REAL AND WE WILL SEE BIONICLE OR HERO FACTORY IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THE ART IS GREAT! 👍 KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK👍💪

Now that we know the truth it would be really interesting if you set some bases for your ideal version of generation 2. Like characters, and then creatives can come and fill in your vision with MOCs, art, concepts, etc. Under your guidelines we could have a true generation 2.
