The Toa cannisters are medicinal pills, the imagery of the Toa leaving the cannisters represents a very sick man on the bathroom floor of his workplace, and the Great Spirit Robot is Christian Faber's body. It makes me cry every single time I think about this. I'm not exaggerating. It's so sad and yet so beautiful.

That artwork on "Survival of the Weakest" is gorgeous I also feel like it plays into the central message of being "Wero"s more than some might expect. Many people misunderstand the term "survival of the fittest." It's not about who's the strongest, or who's the fastest, or who's the smartest (as much as those may help) but rather the ability of a species to persist, persevere, and carry on. Every time you make a stranger laugh, lend the neighbors a cup of tea, or help a kid with their homework, as small as those acts may seem, you're helping your fellow human and keeping the species alive. Be good to each other, be kind. Don't hog the land and the wealth and the food all to yourself. We're the decedents of pack hunters, those who excel at a task assist those who do not. Our strength is in our numbers and in our togetherness, so remain unified.

What a great and thoughtful comment:) You are pointing at the most important lesson of being a human on planet Earth. You are what you do/don't do for others but as they say on the airplanes. Remember to put your own oxygen mask on before helping others. You need to respect yourself and find your own meaning before you can pass it on to your surroundings. Best regards CF

Thank you so much. We want to put out videos that build the foundation for future adventures so the view count is not that important. This is a long journey that lives from all the people, events and locations we encounter. The KZfaq channel is a sort of log book to document small steps and giant leaps, experiments and creative fun. Thank you so much for your support:) Best Chr. Faber

I grew up with Bionicle being my main form of escape, and I know I'm not alone saying that. The character designs were cool, the world within the matoran universe was rich and interesting and the physical system that was built was full of potential for limitless imagination. But while reflecting back on your stories and retrospectives from others in the Bionicle community, I think what was most compelling was the story that tied all of this together. It was incredibly cohesive and fulfilling, especially rewarding to those who followed the story all the way to the end. And I can see what was at the heart of it all - humanity. From concepts of complex social structures to themes of power struggles and morality, and eventually characters overcoming those powers; the Bionicle story is an intricate one, but I think that made it so appealing - because we as humans are so intricate. It really felt like as kids, the writing team really respected our intelligence rather dumbing it down just for the sake of it. I just want to say thank you, Mr Faber. I've enjoyed what you've put out to the world, and I'm excited to see what's to come!

A late response but thank you++++ for your thoughts. We are the stories we choose to tell so to be able to do something creative and inspirational is the biggest reward. When you tell your story, make it count to all others by speaking your truth and your hope. We need that more than ever in this strange fastmoving present we are living in❤️👍✏️🎬 best regards C. Faber

20:00 I also recently started to get informed about processes in my body. Funnily it just started at the beginning of this year (January 1, maybe 1 AM) , where I got a lot of burning acid on my head after eating and drinking unhealthy that evening. And then I found out, most of my problems are related to my acid base balance, which is related to exercise and diet, which is related to the intestinal microflora. If I eat healthy, there are different creatures in my body and signal me appitite to different food. And recently I got back into Bionicle and learnt the about the giant robot, all the "Bionicles" (Maturan, Toa, etc.) were living in. And shortly afterwards I started to understand how this is related to real living beings. To the creatures I'm like the giant robot. They live in my body, not necessarily caring about it, not knowing about me, just like the "Bionicles" in the robot. They just do what they do, they live and die inside me. Some are actively trying to help me, some are actively trying to damage me. Not because they are forced by my body, but because my body provides resources, which the creatures in my body have to deal with. Even most/all of my cells could probably seen as creatures living in my body. And the earth itself on the other hand might also become a "living being", where living beings living on earth are just the "cells" or "microbiome" of. We "artificially" construct that living being. Supply chains are like the blood, which brings "nutrients" (technology) to every single cell. The internet might become its nervous system. Maybe Bitcoin will become its mechanism to balance the resources world wide. Pretty interesting thoughts so far.

Thank you so much for uploading these videos, Maestro Faber. The amount of content and detail you are sharing in these videos is awe-inspiring and utterly breathtaking. I am extremely grateful being able to experience (if ever so slightly) the emotional and thought process of the one behind idea of and what would eventually become Bionicle through your videos. From Slizer’s Frost, Robo Riders Lava and Swamp and of course the various Bionicles which I still have to this day; I never knew until now, how involved you were in my childhood. Just like how it was with the Bionicle story, the more and more I explored and journeyed through the origins of this IP, the more enlightened and elated I felt arriving at the root of this history and learning more of it. I am like many others that wish for the return of Bionicle in the future, and regardless of whether it happens or not, the moments I experienced during those times will never be forgotten. Please excuse any misunderstandings which may or may not result from this comment as it is extremely difficult to relay all these positive emotions I am feeling. It is times like these where I wish I could just call you to be able to at least audibly express my feelings. I want to once again thank you, Maestro Faber. Thank you for everything you have done and contributed. I look forward to your future work whether it be upcoming or retrospective.

I didn't even finish your video, but your view on creativity stuck in my mind since I watched the beginning. I really like writing for a while, and I often have a start (point A) and a goal (point B) in mind. And I often want to get from A to B as fast as possible. Because often I also have more goals in mind (point C, D, E, ...), which are more interesting in my mind. But before I can get there, I have to explore the fundamentals enough. I give the story the time that's needed, but it's just a list of stations I have to go to before I reach the first goal. It's only work, not fun. A gap, which has to be filled. I think "Oh no, I still have to add these two scenes before I can finally get to B." And sometimes when I really get to the goal, I'm kind of lost. There is no clear purpose and it just feels finished before it even became interesting. Now I feel much more comfortable to add a few more scenes than I originally had in mind before I get to B. Maybe I'm able to explore enough places before I get to B so that B isn't even important anymore and I get a clearer vision of how C looks. And maybe I don't even reach B at all, because it just becomes a different story while writing.

Mr. Chris, thank you for everything, I honestly think that one of the pillars of my formation as profesional, citizen of the world and someone who find interest in science and nature was Lego and specifically Bionicle. Hearing about the story is something that I can relate to a thing that here I heard sometimes ; “The times of god are perfect” which it’s said when something isn’t going well, as plan or bad, there are situations that have their purpose and we as the active elements move trough doing things giving the world a motion/movement That’s a philosophy I think off when I am struggling which help me deal whit situations. Greetings from Guanajuato Mexico :D

That was a really great video. I really like your way of thinking. Trying to combine seemingly unrelated things is the core of creativity. I also do that a lot. The ending (especially "Creatives Unite!") felt a bit socialist, though.

From beginning to end a great talk. The (visual) metaphor with the boat and sea is great and really encapsulates the known steering through the unknown. But I never would have guessed that your personal health history was directly connected to the Great Spirit Robot and the canister, but it makes so much sense. I can only thank you for the passion you put into the Bionicle universe and I guess going to Copenhagen and giving you a firm and honest handshake is now on my bucket list!

Very inspirational video! I agree completely that taking your own story and your own struggles and weaknesses can lead to some amazing creations. My fiance and I have been in development of a few projects over the last few years, the first of which we're hoping to release was inspired heavily by her own battle with severe depression and anxiety - much like how your battle led to the creation of the Toa Canisters and Mata Nui, we've taken some very core ideas and constructed a whole world built around our experiences. We're working hard to bring this project to reality one day, and this was just the video I needed to see today!

So great to hear that you are working on own projects and giving inspiration is the best kind of interaction. Understanding how to survive in the sea of creativity is the most important skill. There is no garanties and the creativity has to work for you before it works for others. In other words: you can't help(inspire) others if you are fighting to breath yourself. The sea of creativity can be a hard, cold and lonely place. The people you share the journey with play the most important part. See you out there:)

@@questforfuturecreativity Thanks, I'll be sure to keep that in mind. We've managed to build up a surprising following already - just a few thousand, but it's mind blowing to me that we've come this far in just a few years. I'm still not 100% sure how we're going to go from concepts to an actual tangible piece of creativity, but I'm hoping to figure it out along the way. One day, be it 5 years or 50 years from now, we'll make something, and I hope that this something is truly great.
