Were you fishing on the bottom at 550? And snapping the rock off ? Or fishing off the bottom abit also how did you go high pressure washing the toxic slim off
@ReelSaltyAusАй бұрын
I was mainly braking the rock off but did leave it attached a few times depending on how fast the drift was. Not sure what you mean about pressure cleaning sorry?

Nice sickle pomfret bycatch. We catch brilliant pomfret off Nauru all the time sometimes 3 or 4 at a time if you send down more hooks. Congrats on your swords!
@ReelSaltyAusАй бұрын
Thanks appreciate it still can’t believe I caught them in my bathtub! The pomfret was delicious, oh really how good is that! Maybe I should send down 3 smaller baits next time
@adammcgeorge3538Ай бұрын
@@ReelSaltyAus we’ve not got our swordy yet, but catch the pommies all the time. You can send down a regular deep drop rig for a few or make a boom triangle rig from wire and run the sword bait off the point and a deep drop rig and weight below it, we’ve caught 4 doing in that way. I’ve even sent bigger baits to keep the pommies off them, but they are little pigs and eat everything. Are you fishing structure or particular depth? Are you marking anything or dropping blind? Have you tried circle hooks instead of j hooks? Keep up the great work!

Oh man...see how strong it is...that's why they tear people apart so easy...if you Google shark bites on humans and then choose images...there's alot of shark attacks they dont all make the news..they'll eat the person and leave a spine connected to the butt and thats all...or just the arms ...or just the legs...they dont talk about all of those attacks on the news...there's definitely more than you think...I'll never swim in the ocean again.

@ReelSaltyAus4 ай бұрын
Cheers legend! I’m a big fan of the yamashita ones they seem to sit well in the water. 2.5 - 3.5 size depending on depth and green, white and pink are my go too. Obviously anything works but when they’re a bit fussy the better quality jigs definitely catch more

Hi guys what's the price difference between enterprise and victrin roughly for the same setup you guys have thanks
@ReelSaltyAus4 ай бұрын
Not sure on an exact figure sorry but same size system in either would be very similar, within a couple of grand. The Victron gear Is far superior in every way especially the inverter that does up to 5000w for 20-30 mins and the way it does direct use from solar😃

Nice videos mate specially from us mad fisherman. Pity about the quintrex splitting the hull they are quiet common to do that. And quintrex and the dealers don't like dealing with the issue. Mate of mine bought a brand new 390 and took it up to King Ash Bay in the territory fishing first trip split in bad croc country. Not good his missus nearly divorced him 🤣. Keep up the good work and travel safe 👍
@ReelSaltyAus5 ай бұрын
Thanks mate appreciate it! Yeah it’s a bummer they’re a good hull but seems they nearly all split at some point. That’s not ideal hey, he’s not the only one I know that’s happened too! I was a bit concerned during this fight as it was leaking and had to put the bilge on a few times 🤣 Nah the dealer we purchased it off in Adelaide didn’t give a crap about it and either did Quintrex!
