You’re a savage just for the record. This gives that same energy as me building my 2nd gen Camaro in my single bay attached garage! I’m currently planning a 30x30x12 metal building with a lift, to put out back. Definitely need more room for the toys & tools. Let alone my projects lol

maybe you could have got it tweaked at auto shop at the next exit, that might give you enough to make the 700 miles with a huge accomplishment at the end and a huge smile we made it

Back in 79, I bought my first car. 68SS 396 body had a 327 power glide 2 speed auto. Biggest difference was mine was rusty, very rusty i paid 150$. Those were the days. Thanks for the memories Oh yeah, had a front bushing stuck that squeaked loudly.. could hear me coming a mile away...lol

Thank you so much for this video, very helpful to me. I have a pole barn that stores three at the moment but have 6 classics and need as much room as possible. Doubling the capacity is a no brainer like this.

On my 71, with a aluminum head 383 stroker motor, I went with RideTech's 2 inch, small block drop springs. After they settled about half an inch my front end sits at at a perfect 25 inches measured at the fendee lined up at the center of the wheel. If anyone is curious and has a similar Chevelle. The ride is just a tiny bit stiffer and it never mottoms out with 4 people in the car. Very nice drop springs man. What i love is that they have thicker coils but less of them abd are super easy to install. Those guys make a quality product.

I lowered my Chevelle..I installed coil overs to lower it. I measured 24 inches at the same point you did and looks great..running mid length headers so they dont drag. I did see that raising/lowering the coil over nut you see double to change ...so 1/2 inch makes 1 inch.

I am a confident engine rebuilder on a crusade against "will it run" videos . No argument - every unknown rust suspect engine needs to be torn down and sent to a machine shop to measure viability and repairs. NOT TURNED OVER/NOT STARTED.

I just bought the same lift this Tuesday, $3100 out the door, got from the same Ft worth N.A.W. You got yours from, only Im 125 miles west. Wish I still lived in Tarrant county area. Nice cars, are you member of Mad Dog Car Club? Go to any car shows, there’s one practically every weekend in the Tarrant county area.

i thought about cutouts for my 605 bbc but thing is so loud already with 3 1/2 44 flowmasters. Great engine those zz502s i had one before i renuilt my 70 into a pro street set up. My 2024 Camaro SS has GM Performance Duel Mode Exhaust which has rpm controlled cutouts, its loud when at full throttle

Hey Matt, Doug here from Vancouver Island , BC, Canada, i have thoroughly enjoyed the 8 part series on your Chevelle. I will assume that there is not a ninth part vid yet and that you have not got back to it yet, hope the move to Texas went well and hope to see you at it again soon.

Great vid, i worked on my room mates 70 Chevelle , green, in 96, what a pleasure to work on it, was so well made, enough metal in it to build three cars these days. I rebuilt the back fender wells on it and we dropped a so called rebuilt engine into it, it turned out to be garbage, but man did i ever enjoy working on that beauty, she sold it to her son in law and i never saw it again.

You almost set that tv cable correctly. What your supposed to do is release the clip, hold the throttle wide open, and while continuing to hold the throttle wide open, press the clip back in, and then release the throttle. I was hoping you could hear me as I was screaming at my screen when I watched this.
