Enjoyed watching your video last night! We haven’t been in this trail since 2006 in our 80 Series! I’ve heard it’s all mellow now after the equipment (bulldozers) went through for the Caldor Fire but we only live an hour away from the 50 entrance so we need to get back! I couldn’t tell which side you started from? We have a 100 Series with 33’s and sliders, I think we should be okay?

Hey hey, I also heard it was a little more gnarly before the fire. It was my first time - and we started going in from Silver Fork to Long Canyon. I have a video posted a few days before this one which shows that section! The 100 series with sliders should be fine. My 4Runner is basically 33s & sliders, with stock TRD Pro suspension and aftermarket springs. The LX in the video is fully stock minus 35” tires. We didn’t make it to the top due to snow, so I can’t comment on anything past what you saw in the video but it seems relatively mild. It was absolutely beautiful - you should head back out!

This is what my bone stock 2021 Amg GLC63s Coupe dose (and slightly better)
@dom_says
@dom_says 3 ай бұрын
Sweet! I like the look of the GLCs - especially the coupes. I know they weigh a little more than SQ5s as well, especially with that V8. However, kind of apples to oranges comparison. Used 2021 GLC comparables are about $22-28k more, and the SQ5 with stock turbo you only need intake, HPFP, and flash/E85 for this if someone wants to mod. (downpipe doesn't actually do much). I think a better direct stock comparison to the GLC63s range is the Audi SQ8 with the 4.0TT.

@dom_says
@dom_says 8 ай бұрын
Heyo! The only fuel system upgrade you need for stage 2+ E85 is the HPFP. The files from 034 specifically require E60-E85 range for the E85 tune. I've been running E85 on the car for over a year with no issues - except you need to change your spark plugs with much more frequency and check your PCV system as well!

Awesome video, love seeing stage 3 B9 content! Personally went from a bone stock 2018 S4 all the way up to a TTE710 / E85 setup, enjoyed that for a bit until a young kid in a 335i decided my car needed to be retired lol. Now have a B9.5 S4 with a TTE810 and basically everything that 034 makes. Having been on both the standard and high output files it's hard to go down to the standard haha, the car just feels so damn good on E85 & high output. Random fun fact, when all the stage 3 stuff got installed on my B9.5 the intercooler piping blew off just like yours did lol. Sweet ride, can't wait to see more videos!
@dom_says
@dom_says 10 ай бұрын
Yoooo sorry to hear about your B9, but happy to hear you kept with the platform and snagged a B9.5!! The TTE810 is bonkers, I got an updated ECU version to deal with some boost configuration and I'm hoping to be clear for 3+ this week. I'm sure it's a huge bump from standard - and I've been running E60 as well. Honestly the intercooler piping blow off freaked me out, but of all things to happen that's probably the best compared to others. Starting to hit boost season soon with temps dropping so I'm hoping to push some dragy content soon. THanks for the sub!

@@dom_says intercooler piping popping off is definitely one of the best things that can go wrong haha, easy to fix and doesn’t cost anything!
